Dead Money is SO AWFUL. Total Chore Factory with NO FUN.

I must be one of the few vocal people who actually enjoyed doing those tests.

This.

I enjoyed them up to a point, but the ones in the school were the worst. Repetitive and boring in my opinion.

I didn't mind the tests, but you had to do them (and the X-13 tests) four times each to get all upgrades/perks that you could. It was just overkill.

Same with the endless mobs of bullet sponges that spawned every five paces everywhere else. 20 Nightstalkers spawning around X-13 every single game day? It got to be tedious at the end.

I didn't mind them the first time, they were repetitive but they had a charm to themselves.
It's the subsequent times when it's a complete drag to do them.
In the stealth suit test I was so frustrated already with the DLC that I just noclipped through the wall to the safe and got the document.

I'm currently playing Dead money for 3rd time and I can only say...it's the best DLC ever created. It requires thorough, careful exploration of the Villa to avoid traps and find various stuff that can be really helpful. Each time I play DM, I like it more and more. I love the setting, scenery, characters and the fact that you are almost forced to play it slowly and not rush through it guns blazing. It'll always stay number one DLC for me.

I had animal friend perk specifically so I wouldn't have to deal with the nightstalkers.

This.

Why? Not trying to be hostile, just genuinely curious. The school data retrieval quests just gave me a headache. Why would I want to run through the same bullet-sponge filled simulation twice in a row? If it was a short simulation, it would have been fine, but it was really lengthy.

I understand why the quests are there, and from a writing standpoint they are pretty brilliant, but I just don't think that they were implemented very well when they actually became real quests, i.e., more than just concepts and design documents.

The Stealth Suit tests were one of the few times in New Vegas where I felt like a truly sneaky character and I just really enjoyed going through the increasing difficulty of the school with Borous' brilliant voice coming over the intercom. I'm not saying that i loved going through it all those times, but I never felt frustrated doing it.

I ended up using my high lockpick skill to avoid using all that stealth.
