I've recently downloaded all three DLCs for new vegas on steam, and when I loaded my save game I received the broadcast signals for Honest Hearts and Old World Blues, but even after walking around for a long time I could not get Dead Money to activate. Baffled, I checked another one of my save files, and yet again Dead Money refused to pop. Frustrated, I started a completely new game, quickly made the way through the intro, and when I stepped out of the doc's house dead money still wasn't appearing. This was double checking over and over that the DLC was in fact installed. In frustration I started to hit victor the robot with my fists, and all of a sudden after a few swings the dead money dlc popped into existence! I returned to my other save games to try and replicate the process but randomly hitting npcs, but the DLC would still not load in any game I had pre saved.

Can someone please help me because I don't want to play through 80 percent of the game again.
