Dead money is a complete waste of money. Why would I want to run around a small area thats filled with nothing but bear traps. Seriously, couldnt you think of something else? This is what happens when you beat a 10 year code to death with the same thing over and over.

Whats different from this and new vegas, NOTHING. What is the justification of not including this in the original game? They want more money.

Bethesda is pitiful and becoming EA in a lot of ways. Nothing new and innovative for a hard core gamer.

Bioware is destroying Bethesda.

This DLC is only a few hours, only 2 new monsters (pitiful) with a stupid drawn out story that nobody cares about.

I will NEVER buy another game from Bethesda for as long as I live.

Just wait and read the reviews of this garbage. Its garaunteed the critics are going to scream FOUL PLAY!

I totally agree. fallout svcks now.

It took me more than six hours to complete, and the story was fascinating.

Tracking down the skill books, snowglobe and vending machine codes certainly takes awhile.

Yeah CDProjekt RED are great.
Witcher is the best RPG i've played for a long time.
Kotor is my favourite game of all times, but Bioware ended for me after the first mass effect.
I guess i will try The Old Republic MMO anyway
Same here, The Witcher was fantastic.
(For me it ended with Bioware after Baldur's gate 2)

@ the OP: I don't see it as their fault. I also don't fault them for creating additional content and offering it up at a price.
They designed the game and likely designed the DLC then or perhaps shaved it off the main title as DLC ~so what? You buy the game and get what you buy

If you want the DLC ~in addition to the game, you buy that too and have both. I don't see how a company owes the customer any additional content ~even if they did remove it during development of the base game. (Which... who knows?)

Honestly, what do you expect from them? It's a DLC. OPTIONAL. It's not an entirely new game. Fallout 1 and 2 were linear, too. (that is, more so than 3 or NV)

Care you clarify this statement or are you only refering to the main quests?

To clarify: Fallout 1 and 2 weren't complete sandbox games like Fallout 3 and NV. People complain about the game ending after Hoover Dam, but the game ended after Fallout 1, as well. Look at every DLC made for Fallout 3: they're all linear. DLC's are, as a whole, usually linear. Some of them are made to bring a change of pace to the game, and that's what Dead Money was created to do.

Yeah exactly well put, mis-understood you old sport. :D

For the record I would make an arguement that Fallout 2 ends after the main-quest, it then openly references the developers of the game, basically hands you the keys to gain XP and I remember not being able to persue any more dialouge with Lynette in Vault City afterwards, completely cutting me off from those quests on that particular save.

It let you choose sides, but that didn't have a hell of an effect on the DLC. Either way, you

killed the one doctor (don't remember his name)

OK, I thought I'd post my .02 caps on the subject at hand. First, let me preface by saying that I don't purchase any DLC with the thoughts that it's going to be the greatest thing since sliced bread. I tend to take them for what they usually are, namely a new place to adventure in or more quests to have fun with. Hell, a bag of food at a drive through costs about the same as a DLC and that lasts 20 minutes or less. So getting a ton more entertainment than that for less than $10 is a fantastic value in my book! You gotta keep things in perspective!

That being said, I would give it a solid B to B minus. The number one reason for (mentally) subtracting points is that you cannot return after you leave. I understand why you couldn't leave in the middle of the quests, but it would have been nice to be able to go back if you choose to.

The number two reason I subtracted points is as someone else mentioned the red hue of everything just got a bit old. I don't necessarily mind those type of visual effects, but I felt this one was just too overpowering and redundant, but perhaps that was by design.

But all the other stuff folks have mentioned from the writing, acting and difficulty was great! I actually for the first time I can remember saying to myself, WHY have I never thought of doing that? And I had to really, really concentrate on my health and what I was doing.

I thought that the acting for Dean Domino was just stellar!

B.A.R.!!! (Automatic rifle, yeah right. It's a friggin BAR baby!)

New light armor!

A few new collectibles. (Could have been more though, IMO.)

Other than “Mongo” the voice acting for God/Dog was good.

Voice for Elijah would rate as only fair in my opinion.

I loved looking for the radio's/sound devices as well as the ghost people in the beginning, but it did get a little old after a while. Having Dog with me for a while helped that a bunch though!

Speaking of God/Dog, I was completely amused to learn of their little secret, ala “Primal Fear”. (I chuckled when I realized the truth, and thought of Ed Norton, “M, m, mis.., m, mister V, vv, va.., Vale....”

I'm looking forward to taking what I learned this time through and exploring a lot of stuff I didn't really focus on the next time.

Ultimately, I definitely feel I got my money's worth with the DLC.

I wish there were more DLCs like point lookout. It was great. I am not against linear DLCs but open world ones are much more refreshing. Nothing but linear gets boring.

No the CODs 1-3 started to get boring since it was always WW2. Dont get me wrong i love WW2 but after a while you need a twist and then 4 came out and gave it that. MW2 came out and keept the fun going. Black ops came out and it was about Vietnam. I would say they were quite different and not the same everytime...
