Dead Person Problem

Post » Sat May 28, 2011 8:48 am

I ran across what I think is a Tamriel Traveller http://i44.tinypic.com/20ptr8g.jpg and her dog http://i42.tinypic.com/4tsup1.jpg near Weatherleah. I'm pretty sure she was killed because on my first trip to Weatherleah I heard her trouble but didn't see her, only her dog. On my return I found her but like this in the picture - standing dead. I was able to loot her.

I've read somewhere about this problem and there's a fix for it but I don't know where I read it or how I can fix this. Any ideas?

It's a load processing problem, apparently. There's no preventative fix that I know of, but both Streamline and Kuertee's Auto Save and Time try to knock them over before you notice them.

All they need is a bit of a shove and they'll fall down. SL and ASAT just try to automate the shoving process and do it before you notice the problem.

Ah that's where I read it - in Streamline. Thanks. I think it's kind of comical so it's not a big deal. I might get annoyed with it if it keeps happening all the time though. I guess I could pretend they're acting like scarecrows... :P

In streamline, the default hotkey to get them to fall down is Ctrl+insert

Also certain skeleton.nif added my mods cause this to happen to daed actors when you re-enter the cell. The real force on did it for me. Try this http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=27945 (also recommend you use install last in BAIN) :)

I think the INI says that the corpse-killing function is a little buggy, so be careful if you use that. Maybe you should try Kuertee's mod. The SL warning may only apply to the INI setting that does it automatically, I am not sure. The hotkey might be okay...

I haven't noticed any buggyness with Streamlines "auto-shoving dead NPCs" that's automated by the INI. Can't say anything about the hotkey, though.
