I got my kid Dead Rising 3 and an Xbox One for Christmas and I was watching him play the game last night. It looks super fun and now I want to play it. But it's not on PC and Capcom has no plans on ever releasing it on PC. So I was thinking of picking DR2 up on PC. I see it's on Steam.

Has anyone played Dead Rising 2? How much different from 3 is it? Is it open world like 3? I see there is two different versions of Dead Rising 2, which one is better, which one have you played, which one should I get?

I've played Dead Rising 2. You're pretty much stuck in a mall the entire time. It's not really open world (as you're in a mall and outside it). Still lots of zombies though. Some of the missions can be fairly ridiculous.

My brother heavily enjoys zombie titles, and he didn't really like this one.

Feel free to try it out though. Maybe you'll like it. Maybe even waych some playthroughs on YouTube to get a feel for it.
