I finished recording the matches. There were some very interesting results, but the only thing I can tell about them at this point is that Gurkog will have a character competing in the second round. ;)

Looks like the Khajiits stacking Reflect Damage should have invested more into protectio nagainst magical damage. ;)

My personal favourite fights are John vs Tyler, Gamuth vs Gordol, Drekbal vs Thuadra. I think it's the comeback theme where one person gets badly hammered at first, but then makes a comeback and wins.

I was scared when Thuadra got owned in the first fight, but she got lucky with the staggering shots in the last two rounds :celebration: It didn't seem like she was using the paralysis poison though, is she just not smart enough to use it?

Apaprently not. Maybe the NPCs have a random chance to use any poisons they might have, just like (as I recently discovered) they have a random 5% chance to use their racial powers. I'll have to look into that for future tournaments.

She kept using her bow in all her fights though, so that's one fear that didn't come true.

I guess Fae'jun's spells were too weak to do much good. In later rounds she might have done better.

Knew I should have bought some Resist Magic stuff for Ra'Zirajh, and Gaz got staggered about 50 billion times in his first fight :(

LOL I love the amount of smack talking my characters are doing. I also love how when Gordol dropped his mace in round one he simply charges straight in with his fists with no regard to safety. I also enjoy his smug expression after the fight. I imagine him saying "We're watching you, scum."

I like it how at the end of the match Gordol shouts "This ends here!" just before Ghamul goes down. And how Big John Hawker says "Die, you Orc fillth!" just before he kills Gaz gro-Snaak for the second time. Or the part where Big John says "I've fought Mudcrabs more fearsome than you!" and then Gaz replies with "I'm just warming up!".

You'll see some more well timed comments in the other fights. ^_^

Here's the lineup for the second round:

1. Squally the Green vs Lord Kacj. Both have shown that they can beat a Khajiit, but only one will progress to the 3rd round.

2. Gurkog Gor-bak vs Tyler Leghorn. Gurkog has 20% Resist Paralysis, but with Tyler's quick attacks he is still bound to get paralyzed a lot. Can he hold out long enough to turn the tide in his favor?

3. Gordol Indoril vs Thuadra. Thuadra's fire bow worked great against a Nord, but how useful will it be against a Dunmer?

4. Gaiden vs Big John Hawker. Redguard versus Redguard, one balanced, the other heavily offensive. The only bad part is that it will be impossible to tell who made which taunt.

It would be awesome after the tourney to do a level 31 Royal Rumble match with all 16 contestants in the arena at once!

I might do it. Now if you want to do me a favor, I'd love to see some speculation about the upcoming fights. ;)

Im crossing my fingers hoping she will use her poison, because if she doesn't, she is going to get mauled.

So Ghamul has fallen. May he rest in peace. Also, it just occurred to me that since his race changed from an Orc to Imperial, his name now sounds kinda wacky .

Gurkog SMASH!

Long live the King!

EDIT: The archer will probably lose only because she is facing a Dunmer :( I think the rest are gonna be pretty even.

ZOMG I won a fight?!??! I am surprised, the character I thought would win lost and the one I thought would lose won! I am looking forward to Gaiden's fight against Big John Hawker, should be an interesting match. Big John Hawker appears a little slower than Gaiden, but more powerful. How strange for once I won't be cheering for John

Squally might get murdered, but not by Lord Kacj. Squally won because he has something like 38% Resist Magic while Lord Kacj has no Resist Magic at all. They probably both have a similair AR, but Kacj was taking much more magic damage and that's why he lost.

In the second match we saw Tyler Leghorn take an early lead, but his dagger ran out of charges before he could finish Gurkog. When that happened Gurkog's vampiric mace kicked in and quickly shifted the fight into his favor.

In the third match we saw Thuadra's first arrow hit me in both fights. I didn't notice that at first or I would have restarted the match. But now I ran some tests and with me out of the way, her first arrow always hits Gordol's Wraith instead. I have a video, but it's essentially 3 minutes of Thuadra repeatedly getting her face smashed in. Sometimes it goes a little faster, sometimes it takes a little longer, but she never beats Gordol.

I the final match Gaiden brutally exploited Big John Hawker's lack of defenses.

In the third round we'll have the following matches:

1. Squally the Green vs Gurkog Gro-bak. Two tough Orcs beating the [censored] out of each other. Sounds like fun!

2. Gordol Indoril vs Gaiden. Gordol had it easy in the second round, but now he's facing a tough Redguard warrior with a lightning sword.
