Deadliest Warrior Oblivion: New Season New Blood

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 7:21 am

Sorry, but I always try to tell the truth. :P

One thing occured to me though. If the rules are copied and pasted from mine, then the official time of entry is the time of the last edit and that changes the order to:
1. Mara
2. Dragatus
3. Shaukin Graniteus
4. Vrokar
5. Lamont
6. Claude de Monteroy
7. Tomcat
8. Ra'Zirajh

So the fights then become:
1. Mara vs Ra'Zirajh
2. Dragatus vs Tomcat
3. Shaukin Graniteus vs Claude de Monteroy
4. Vrokar vs Lamont

Th for getting these, it woulda taken me alot longer to get that! :)

If i am correct wouldn't Lamont overall element resistance would be 44% resistance to fire and frost, and shock 29% because elemental ring gives a 20% to all elements also Gauntlets of the North increase frost resistance up 15% and Greaves of the Flame increase fire resistance to 15%. Lamont has the witch hunter helm that give him 9% resist magic.

But Vrokar is tough opponent only way i can see Lamont beating him if he beats his fatigue down zero but that can only work if Lamont can focus on Vrokar.

I forgot about the helm originally, but either way its going to be a great fight

Resit Magic isn't simply added to Resist fire. The calculation is a bit more complicated, you 've got to multiply the damage percentages that penetrate each defense seperately to see how much damage comes through alltogether. Lamonts total defense vs fire and frost is 40,85% and vs shock it's 72,8%.

Oh yeah, Claude also wants me to tell you guys that he is delighted about finally getting to fight a foul spellcaster and that he'll put an end to Shaukin's wicked ways.

Woah, I was properly butchered, there's an art to a build that I just don't get. The only good news is my women actually did better than the three legged nag I put money on in the Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Irlien was a weak character, but Friiga was decent. Her main problem was that Vrokar had a Storm Ring which made him immune to Shock Damage. He was pretty much ideally built to counter her.

For next time you could improve her by replacing Block with Mysticism and taking Weakness to Shock as your extra spell. Block isn't much good without a shield anyway and you could still do Shock Damage even to enemies that are normally completely immune to it.

A second improvement could be replacing Speechcraft with Conjuration and taking a Storm Atronach while sacrificing your Grand Amulet of Luck. A summon to distract enemies would be more useful than +4 to all skills.

@Dragatus, thanks for that, what works in the game obviously doesn't for one on one. I didn't realise the AI wuold be clever enough to cast a weakness followed by a damage spell, ah well, you live and learn, cheers.

This is as close to Oblivion multiplayer as it gets. :D

You submit a character and when there are 16 characters, they have a series of fights which the host records. And then he (or she) uploads the videos and posts links in the thread so that everybody can see them. The winners then proceed to the next round where they fight again and so on until one charcter becomes champion.

You can read the first post of the thread for more details.

Lord Kacj was soundly beaten by Dragatus. Dragatus even went easy on Kacj (didn't summon his Clannfear) and Kacj still couldn't win a single fight. Sorry mate, you had the bad luck of having to face the champ as your first opponent. B)

:toughninja:

I would like to thank all you little people. I could have never become champion if you hadn't provided your pathetic characters for me to trash. :P

Seriosuly though, congratulations for a good fight to everyone. I was quite tense throughout all my fights, worried that some punk would get lucky. And special congratulations to Little Monster's Tomcat for actually being such a lucky punk (although thankfully not lucky enough). ;)

Congrats Dragatus!!!
Kind of bummed about Vrokar's performance: he had pretty bad accuracy and didn't use his paralyze spell at all
Also It didn't look like Mara was using her potions, but I'm not sure because there were a lot of spell effects flying
Overall Lamont's damage fatigue effect on his sword proved devastating as Mara couldn't find the strength to stay on her feet
Congrats again to both finalists and Dragatus for winning!
