We could give a character a free pass, or put one up against a generic NPC like a generic Legionaire who would probably lose badly.

We could make the seeding random so nobody can accuse us of bias.

Shaukin's ability to summon a physical manifestation of storm power probably gave him a bit of an edge, but setting the AI to necromancer might have negated that. Can't wait to see how Pox does!

The fights have been interesting so far and I think only one of them had a clearly one-sided battle.



Decided to add Shaukin's story...

Shaukin was born premature due to his mother being struck by lightning. While growing up his constant, spontaneous static discharges drew fear and contempt from other children and lead to his outcast complex. At first he developed anger over his situation, but that only increased the potency and frequency of discharges. As an advlt he channeled that anger into a passion for studying the weather and storms. He patterned his lifestyle in a similar way by becoming a volatile mercenary prone to sudden indiscriminate violence. His last employer defaulted on a rather lengthy and troublesome task. Being unable to unleash his wrath on the poor sap who hired him drove him into a tavern to brood like a looming thunderstorm until seeing a notice for the fame and fortune earned as an arena combatant. The opportunity to unleash the pent up violence of thunder and lightning on unwitting foes was too good for him to pass...
