Wahoo, 3 rings are a bit much, don't you think? ;)

Is it against the rules? Could you make one an amulet?

In the game it's only possible to wear 2 rings at a time so while I could give you three, one of them wouldn't get used. I guess I could make one into an amulet, but I would prefer it if you picked another item instead of a third ring.

From here on I'm grouping together the winners of the first two matches, the winners of the second two matches, and so on. So Crazy Jim will be facing Duluk the Conqueror and Gregnak is up against Hrothgar the Speaker, who'll be upgrading his Scamp to a Dremora and who can invalidate one of your victories with his Speechcraft so Gregnak will have to beat him 3 times to win.

Consider it done then. I'll take another look at it in a little while.

Aw, not a conjurer! I'm predicting that Gregnak will lose the next match because of conjuration. I know that the AI will cause him to attack only the conjured creature, leaving his flank wide open for Hrothgar. :sadvaultboy:

Edited my original post again so I am only using two rings. I agree that that makes the most sense since that is how it is in Oblivion. I traded the Ring of Blades for the Defender's Shield.

:( I've been so distracted by the Skyrim forum that I am just seeing this for the first time. It seems really cool hopefully I can get in on the next one.

Poor Tyrone, I really thought he could have won that first one if his scamp had been a little more distracting... Well, congrats to Skorr and Duluk, and I will of course still be following the tournament. My money's on Duluk to win now, after seeing him in action.

I LIKE THOSE ODDS!!!

Althou the bosmer ignored my scamp. he just failed anyway since Hrothgar is mainly at combat character. I threw in destruction and Conjuration to make things interesting.

I have recorded the fights, now I need to edit and upload them. This would probably be a good time for Buffy to tend to the wounded. ;)

There are two more things that I'd like to mention:

1. It turned out that the modification I made to the spells works as intended for the player but doesn't seem to affect NPCs. However, it does seem to affect NPC behaviour. Conjurers can still summon whatever they are summoning as many times as they want, but quite often they don't want. For example in one fight between Jim and Rythe both summoned a creature to help them, but in the next fight neither summoned anything. Basically there seems to be a 50-50 chance whether or not they'll do any summoning.

2. I seem to have some problems with SI equipment. I get the missing mesh exclamation mark so I replaced Brutis' Madness gear with Daedric. But he still got the same stats, it's just the look that changed. Also, whoever has the Madness sword will get a sword that looks Daedric instead. I have no idea what is causing the problem, but I suspect something must have gone wrong when I made a paralel installation of Oblivion for Nehrim, because I used to have no problems with SI.

1. Would changing the summons to greater powers help or do NPCs even use greater powers? AFAIK, greater powers can only be used once a day anyway.

2. No problem.

So much for my "winning strategy." I noticed Brutis didn't spend much time blocking, not to mention Gregnak's reach probably helped.

Congrats all the characters who won! I salute you! :D

I just hope when Gregreo faces you, that you don't kill him within a second. XD At least give him ten seconds of dueling before offing him.

I though of this, but all Dunmer have a summon ghost greater power and I don't think I've ever seen one use it. So my guess is that NPCs don't use greater powers. Or at least not reliably.

I've seen several Dunmer NPCs in Oblivion summon their ancestor guardian, actually, but I have unofficial patches and such installed that may affect the AI package.

My current character is a Dunmer and he prefers to summon a bear :P Best spell tome ever.

Wow, all these fights have been pretty one sided with only 2 fights each. Very surprising, but I can't wait to see the results of the next round, especially because Kjelhe made it!

Holy crap I didnt think Trannigan would actually win. :celebration: I'll bet his health was low both matches haha it looked like Hjolfyr did get some really good hits in. Good match Hjolfyr. The rest of the matches were good too, next round should be interesting.

You are correct. I seem to have also given him Restoration as a major skill instead of Mysticism. Did you change that or did I get it wrong from the start?

Anyway, I corrected the error and redid the match. However, the result is the same and Kjelhe won again.

Didn't Trannigan come in second place in the first tourny?

I just checked and yes, he did.
