Got it, just picked the item. :)

you also might want a sword, and i personally suggest something with a frost enchantment.

and you will want some kind of AI. go ahead with NPCConjurer if you want.

EDIT: :whistling:

Great, Tyrone's first fight and he's up against a crazy Orc with a Warhammer... :( Good luck to Skorr and Duluk!

I have a feeling Anim is gunna destroy Hjolifur. Although my summons might distract him a little, my sword will break itself and i'll electrocute myself. and, oce neither of us have swords, he'll be better at hand-to-hand.

@Dragatus

I won't be able to really look into the things you mentioned until tomorrow (about 12 hours from now) If you could hold off on at least my match I'd appreciate it. If not, the longsword you suggested will be fine.

I honestly expect Hjolfyr to win this because he can heal himself and Trannigan can't.

Alim's shield has 14% Reflect Spell so most of your spell will come through. Hrothgar also has more health (because he's a tough Nord instead of a puny Bosmer :P), he can heal himself, and because he has Speechcraft he can invalidate one lost fight. My money is on him.

Only the first 4 matches are scheduled for today and David only has to fight in the 5th match, so no problems here.

You could try shouting "Ni!" at him. Worked pretty well in the movie. ;)

But he might come back with it?

I can see Hjolfyr quickly running out of Magicka...or paralyzing himself...or accidentaly healing Trannigan...lol.

I think I'll root for the Nord.

Which Nord?

The ugly one.

Somehow, I calculate a 45% chance of Gregreo succeeding. He may beat John in a long, bloody struggle, but I'd be amazed if he survived four combatants.

Funny enough, my real name IS John. :D

Did you make any sanctions against Conjuration? I glanced over the OP and didn't see anything.

Also, good luck everyone! Hopefully someone beats Crazy Jim. :P

I've added a scripted effect to all the summoning spells that remove summoning spells from the summoner. If it works as intended the result will be that a summoner can only use his or her summoning spell once per fight. I'm not sure yet if it will work though because for the last couple of days I've been ... er ... distracted by the Nehrim mod.

A interesting thing that happened is also that only one of the characters in the tournament both has Conjuration as a major skill and is specialized in magic and that is Rythe Arano. He's one of only two characters who start as a Journeyman in Conjuration and the only one who could possibly become an Expert. And the funny thing is that Rythe gets to start the tournament by fighting against Crazy Jim, the only other person who starts as Journeyman in Conjuration. All the other summoners start as apprentices so during Round 1 they'll be summoning Scamps.

I have recorded the fights, now I need to edit and upload them. This would probably be a good time for Buffy to tend to the wounded. ;)

There are two more things that I'd like to mention:

1. It turned out that the modification I made to the spells works as intended for the player but doesn't seem to affect NPCs. However, it does seem to affect NPC behaviour. Conjurers can still summon whatever they are summoning as many times as they want, but quite often they don't want. For example in one fight between Jim and Rythe both summoned a creature to help them, but in the next fight neither summoned anything. Basically there seems to be a 50-50 chance whether or not they'll do any summoning.

2. I seem to have some problems with SI equipment. I get the missing mesh exclamation mark so I replaced Brutis' Madness gear with Daedric. But he still got the same stats, it's just the look that changed. Also, whoever has the Madness sword will get a sword that looks Daedric instead. I have no idea what is causing the problem, but I suspect something must have gone wrong when I made a paralel installation of Oblivion for Nehrim, because I used to have no problems with SI.

Nice matches. I love how at the end of the first one, the guy in all dwemer armor (Crazy Jim?) raises his arm casting healing spells, which looks like he's cheering victory, and which also coincides with the part in the song where the people are chanting "For the king! For the king! For the sake of Skyrim!"

I also like how you made all the matches around 1:10 long, because then I'm not able to tell who's the victor based on whether there are 2 or 3 matches.

The dead guy with the blue face is probably a Dunmer, so yeah, Crazy Jim si the one with the Dwemer helmet. ;) And yes, I too really like how that came out.

The main reason they're all equally long is because of the music. The part with the chanting is my favourite so i want it to play in every fight.
