Deadly Dragons and DCO

Is it a good idea to use Deadly Dragons and Dragon Combat Overhaul together? I know they work together, but Im wondering if people usually do it.

I'm watching Gopher's let's play (just started) and he only uses deadly dragons. So I was wondering if most people only do one or the other?

I use both. Makes dragon fights pretty insane, imo.

While the author of dco is mostly likely smokes too much (this is coming from a guy with hunter s thompson as his avatar :)) he does a good job.

Just the unpredictability it adds is reason enough to use it, imo. Without dco, dragon fights tend fall into a predictable rhythm that gets rather dull. With dco, you never know when the dragon is going to be grounded, if a another one is going to join in, or if the dragon you are fighting is going to use a limit break (which tend to be devastating).

I've used the two combinations for months and wouldn't bother with dragons if I didn't have these 2 mods. They do compliment each other very well. I recalled several occasions where all the guards in Falkreath and Dawnstar were wiped out if I set DD to more difficult settings. I now dialed DD back to vanilla dragons so the guards have a fighting chance. Even with DD at vanilla setting, DCO makes the fights challenging. I also use Run for Your Lives to minimize NPC deaths. However, it doesn't always fire so you can still loose half the village in a single attack.

If I were to choose one it would be DCO.
