As far as I know, nobody has found the cause or a solution. I've used the spell a couple of times, both on creatures and NPC's, without issues but it's too overpowered so not using it at all now. The reports are mainly for skycaptain to peruse whenever he gets back, there are solutions/workarounds for a few of the bugs though.

Has anyone else experienced the following bug?

If a guard approaches me and enters dialog mode after I commit a crime, the options "Go To Jail" "Resist Arrest" etc... are not functional with the mouse.
I cannot click these options. Rather I have to highlight the option I wish to choose with the mouse and press the arrow keys in this order... up down up to get it to activate the option.

If no one knows how to fix the bug, does anyone know a button to choose a response option in dialog mode other than pressing the arrow keys... up down up or left clicking with the mouse?

It's been my understanding that this is due to holding right-click prior to entering dialogue. If I'm yielding to a guard, then this happens every time. I remember reading in the manual that kicks were achieved by preventing left-click function while right-clicking (attacking and blocking respectively). If you ever try zooming in with the marksman perk, then holding down the right-click will release your attack and you'll shoot the arrow. Similarly, if you enter a menu while blocking, you can't click on anything. Whenever this happens to me for dialogue, I usually just press escape and click like mad on "Return" until it activates. I know that everything starts working correctly after a few seconds, but I developed this habit somewhere along the line and it's stuck with me.

If anyone has any other solutions, though, I'd love to hear them myself.

Bug

I seem to get a CTD from saving. Specifically after beheading NPC's. The game will run fine and dandy up until the point where I want to save. I go to the menu save a brand new save. I crash automatically. I just can't save after beheading some poor guy.

Ok after some testing. I think DRsplatter.esp was the cause of all this. I just tested the mod without DRsplatter.esp checked. Did the same thing to multiplie NPC's (cutting their heads off). The CTD's on saving stopped completely. Hurray!

Just saying I'm using OBGE V2 for that OBGE liquid water mod. DRSplatter.esp still worked with it but I'm guessing the crash might be an incompatible issue with the new OBGE.

Hello, I have several problems with this mod. Here they are
1. Camera seems to be in my chest
2. Kick and other attacks do not work
3. Idle weapon animations do not work
4. Menu stops working after using the mod for a while (highlights option but can not select it)
I have just this mod and required mods and the latest OBSE and any assistance is appreciated.

I'm having the same problems as Kira1000. Also sometimes I cannot attack at all. This usually last for 5 seconds or so.

Ah, I missed this.

Not being able to attack for 5 sec is new to me.. Mod incompatibility with some other mod maybe, try disabling one by one to narrow down the culprit.

Never mind, problems 1 and 3 are part of the mod which i did not know, 2 was stupidity on my part for not having right requirements and 4 was fixed easily as described above. Do you happen o know how to prevent the character from moving while doing left/right power attacks as it is annoying to miss simply because you moved.

It's part of the animation, only way you can change it is by replacing it with another. I've learnt to deal with it by adjusting my positioning when I attack lol.

Hey everyone,

I have DR6 installed, and right now whenever I click "F" to sheath my weapon, my character does the dodge animation and sheaths the weapon once, and then automatically sheaths it again normally, which is sort of annoying. Is this something that is supposed to happen, or is there a way to re-configure the dodge hotkey to something other than "f"? (Right now I'm just testing things out and searching for any bugs, etc, but I'd also assume that in a real game it wouldn't be ideal to sheath my weapon when I press dodge =) )

Just open up the .ini and search for skycaptainsSb.flipKey, change it to something else. Personally I reassigned my ready weapon key to one of the mouse buttons though.

Okay thanks that's also a good idea, is that something that I need to do in the oblivion .ini file or can it be done in game? And just out of curiosity, besides the standard left, right, and middle scroll buttons, my mouse also has two buttons on the side for Forward/Back internet browsing and buttons near the scroll wheel for (I think) an alternate form of scrolling, could these keys be bound as the draw/sheath weapon key as well, or does it have to be one of the three main ones?

You'll probably need to open up oblivion.ini and clear the keyboard assignment for ready weapon, after that going in-game to set the mouse button will work. Of course you can set it in the .ini directly since you're there already. As long as the mouse button is recognized with a valid directx scan code it'll work.

Alright I'll play around with it, thank you for the help!

edit: Turns out it was even simpler than that.....all I had to do was change the "ready weapon" hotkey to another key in-game and the problem was solved, don't know why I didn't think of that in the first place lol

Mmm, make sure you're using NifSe v1.0b2, not the latest version. Can't think of anything else besides that...

Does anybody knows a quick way (surely by .ini editing) to make 100% (or close) probable to perform a finishing move when the enemy's HP is low enough? I've been playing Oblivion for 125 hours and I've only performed ONE in all of that time (and it failed!). I'm using as much variation as I can to keep my momentum up, and shield-bashing also, but they simply don't come up.

Are there any .ini values to ensure it's MUCH more probable to have them? Thx in advance :)

I'll make a playthough now trying by all means to behead someone. But with such high values, I find pretty odd I haven't done it already.

I have no issues to reach a full green bar in DR's HUD Status Bar indicator. The problem is that even with a full green bar and spamming left powerattacks (the usual way of beheading people), it's still very improbable that I do one. In addition to that, more than half of them are blocked, or don't even work even with the heartbeating sound/slowdown playing (the NPC dies the usual way).

I've went though Rockmilk cave twice to do the tests, and in all that time I've only managed to succesfully behead 1 marauder.
