[RELz] Deadly Reflex 6 (Beta) - The Official Release and Bug

This may not be an issue anymore, but I thought i'd post this anyway. I just had a critical hit, with blood spatter, saved the game, and everything worked fine. I'm also using BOSS to arrange my load order, and I haven't had any problems whatsoever (except the occasional CTD, but this seems pretty rare). Looks like DR v.6 is well on it's way to being a totally reliable mod. Thanks to all those involved with making corrections and play-testing.

I am experiencing a weird flicking issue related to Deadly Reflex and I think the splatter mod more info can be found here...

I just had an excellent gaming session of nearly three hours before I decided to take a break. That's right, no crash, I actually got to use the exit button tonight! Anyway, as always I review logs after sessions just to see what might be going on behind the scenes, and I found this tonight. This was an error-free session, well on the surface anyway. Logs below. Take note of the texture issue OBGEv2 reports about DRSplatter.esp. However the mod worked 100% and many fights resulted in splatter on screen. Humanoids and creatures both. The textures are present in the directory mentioned. I viewed them in GIMP and they're variants of on screen splatter textures. Not sure what to make of it but I wanted to document it here for posterity, and just maybe it'll be useful somehow, someway.

It appears that OBGEv2 is trying to load some data from the save file related to DRSplatter.fx, since the error occurs shortly after initialization. I'm going to disable the Load Saved Data function of OBGEv2 for the next session to see the results. If the results are different I'll re-enable the function and try to reproduce the error.

How exactly did you come to the conclusion that Deadly Reflex 6 is the culprit? I use DR 6, currently working 100%, and have never experienced the issue you describe in all of my testing and troubleshooting. And I've done a lot of that for this mod.

I'm having a little trouble getting this working fully. When I just load the game, I can bash and throw to my heart's content (haven't tested anything else, yet), but as soon as I equip a torch I can't do any of those things any more :(

My OBSE version is v20.1, but the symptoms were the same at latest stable, obse.log shows no failures in loading the prerequisites. Additionally, Drop Lit Torches OBSE appears to not work at all, and I can't figure out why. I imagine the two are related, but again - I can't figure out how!

I can not choose the timeglas. I have the Deadly Reflex Timeglas in my Inventory but i can not klick at that, that the DR Menue shows to choose my hotkeys.

AFAIK that is not a bug, you can change your hotkeys in the ini file in ....oblivion/data/ini/DeadlyReflex/DeadlyReflexINI.ini file

How come I can't get any of the killing moves to work? I've killed a ton of enemies with power attacks and regular ones and nobody ever gets decapitated or anything.

I set the thing to 100% too, and it still doesn't work.

This is the config that i use.

The only reason that can prevent the usage of keys as intended is the lack of obse, can you please check if the obse files are in the oblivion folder.

I have a splitting headache trying to fix this damn mod. I uninstalled v5 and installed v6 and now nothing happens when I use the reset.

I'm ready to punch a wall. :banghead: :banghead:

Also, when using a bow, these new Dark Messiah inspired animations make my arrow-holding arm disappear when an arrow is nocked.

Can somebody REMOVE fake1stperson from this mod? Im really really tired of it, so i can bear the absence of special animations. Constant shaking, misplaced weapons etc. etc. makes me sick.

Could you pleas release a special version of DR5 with INI configuration like DR6 has? That would do it for those who dont like DR6 but still want impovements ;).
Also in your teaser video weapons have normal positions.


Also IMHO fake1stperson was the worst idea ever.


Anyway i have an idea to fix problem with weapon offset - in 1st person animations move arms like 2 times closer to each other and a bit up - that will make it look nearly as good as the original view.

Just a quick update to the fixed weapon meshes. Now includes the Sword of the Crusader. This mesh is not one that will crash your game but is one that causes a missing mesh icon to briefly appear when you throw the weapon. Please inform me of any other troublesome meshes that you might find related to throwing weapons.

But i know now whats the problem was.
I have my OBSE data direct in my Oblivion Folder, without an own folder. So the PlugIn Folder is direct in the Oblivion folder and i forgett to put the plugins there. Now i can bash and smash and head cutting off.

I've got the same problem, I am getting the hourglass but when I press it doesn't work.

Anyway, you can always edit the keys in INI file.


Edit: Oh and sorry if my english isn't good enough, my native lenguage is spanish. (:

I see numbers near the configuration in the .ini. How would I know what # the button I want would be?

Check the complete sentence above the numbers, there's a link wich expalins you each number as a key.

Or try this, CTRL+F, and type HTTP://, it should show you the link.

I hope it helps.

Edit: In each command, there is a line to the right wich expalins you each command function.

Wish I could help you with that, but I have no idea.

I got missing textures in my character arms due an incompatibility with HGEC female texture replacer...

I hope someone knows what to do.

Im using HGEC, and i dont have those missing textures.
If i may suggest, remove upperbody.nif, lowerbody.nif, hand.nif, foot.nif, femaleupperbody.nif, femalelowerbody.nif, femalehand.nif, femalefoot.nif, upperbodyhumanfemale.egt, body.egt (those files ware added by mistake).
and reinstall HGEC.

Hi all,

I'm pretty sure it's been discussed, and I seem to recall reading a post about "inverted animations".

I believe the two handed and one handed left/right power attack animations are inverted. The movements the PC does seems off. I'm not sure renaming the file will be enough. If I want to give it a go, should I simply swap the following file names?

onehandskill2attackleftpower becomes twohandskill2attackleftpower and vice versa
onehandskill2attackrightpower becomes TwohandSkill2AttackRightPower and vice versa
