Apropos frozen creatures, I did mention it already on the FCOM thread but just noting it here again. Shattering Ancient Gargoyles causes instant CTD, normal gargoyles are fine though. no clue what's different. So just ran away when they're frozen. :tongue:


Managed to get it working with DR5 and it doesn't CTD for me - at least not the two times I did it.

Probably some mod incompatibility or some such, never had CTD with other creatures. Weird. Ah well, freezing doesn't happen that often anyway so I'm cool. ^_^

Try resetting the mod and see whether that helps. Open DeadlyRefexINI.ini and find "set scc.resetMod to 0", change 0 to 1.

Alternatively, there's suppose to be an hourglass in your inventory that can be clicked to reset the mod. Never tried that before though since I've it disabled.


I've reinstalled it completely, still not working :(. Should there some message boxes or popups appear? Deadly Reflex just say "Thank you, you're ready to play". Am I not supposed to choose a key for all function?
Oh and what does this hourglass do? It don't do anything when i click on it XD

Hrm, sorry out of suggestions. Seems DR6 is quite complicated to troubleshoot when it goes wrong. Having the thank you message means it has reset. Not suppose to choose keys, that bit of code not meant to be there I think. You set your keys via the ini. Hourglass was suppose to be used to reset the mod in-game, according to the readme.

Edit: Did you do a clean save before reinstalling? Might help.

Seems it is bader than worst. I also started with my beginning save where all plugins has to load again. And there I got some popups for choosing a key. Also said that "horsecombat" isn't available but it is in version 6 isn't it?!
I still can brake everything :sick: Well it's good that still FCOM is running :D I installed it for 3 weeks and changed from german to english version to get a stable run :ahhh:

Well... I tried it again with my beginning save. No popups this time <_<
But my game is crashing every time i want to throw my iron sword :(

Yeah, weird issue. Is your MMM install correct? You don't happen to have loose resources from a previous release installed as well as having the bsa?

I had also some bad problems with installing it... For FCOM V0.9.9 i installed the full 3.5.5 of MM and the 3.7 Beta 1 Patch. I also wanted "Diverse Waterlife" so i downloaded the MMM373b.bsa and the MMM373-Archive with the new ESP and extracted the BSA with BSA Manager to copy the missing textures, sound, meshes into my data folder.
I didn't want to include the BSA into my data folder because i already use the optimized FCOM_Convergence_FraNewItems.bsa and i think 2 BSAs for one ESP without space wont work.

Any clue about the Crash when i throwing a weapon by the way? It worked with my first install. But since i reinstalled it, I crash every time.
Should i not use OBSE V0020 for NifSE? I saw that V0020 is needed after i installed NifSE for the first time. But since i got some major crashes with my further installs i thouhgt it's because i used V0019 of obse.

Not sure if I understand that. You should update to UFCOM, use the MMM bsa but should uninstall previous loose resources (there are some fixes you don't get now for example) and I don't get what you mean about BSAs. You can have several bsa's named FCOM_Convergence_X.bsa (with X being FraNewItems etc.). Seems to me that you have a mish mash of different versions right now. Basically, follow the guide in the FCOM thread.

As for CTDs when throwing weapons, see post 2 in this thread. It's a known bug - and DR6 must be updated to fix it so will take a while.

Yes, should be. Running full FCOM with no issues. Started playing modded oblivion in Feb so never seen the previous release. :tongue:

Try the throwing weapon fix, mentioned in the second post. Really odd that you've got everything working the first time, but not now. o.O

I can't find a clean installation guide for UFCOM. So i decided to install the last released version from the FCOM homepage. Do you know where i can find a step by step guide including all necessary files?
The topics in this forum only link to the original homepage but there isn't a dummy install guide which I highly need :hehe:

The FCOM homepage is outdated. Follow the instructions in the opening post in http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1172894-relz-fcom-convergence-and-ufcom/. The alternative download link there for Oblivion WarCry V1.09 works. The thread has links to the latest releases, install order guide etc. Just follow it and you should be fine. As a side note, my health keeps regenerting for some reason, it is really annoying. It if not from any enchantment, since this is a brand new character.

No clue about your bow, but regenerating, Oblivion XP has health and magicka regeneration. Open up the ini and search for the Regeneration section, you can disable them there.

About your bow problem, not sure if this happens you in 1st or 3th person, so, delete (or better rename it just in case) bowatack.kf file in meshes/characters/_male if the problem happens in 3th person and in meshes/characters/_1stperson if the problem happens in 1st person. This should force Oblivion to use the kf file from Oblivion.BSA.

I saw someone mention a way to adjust the attack animations from one attack to another, but is there a way to revert an animation to oblivion default? As much as I have loved the deadly reflexes mod over all these versions, I absolutely loathe the thrust animation because it is simply [censored] for blunt (and axe) weapons, despite being good for blade. In the past we could simply delete the attack files and it would revert to the old animation....but now it seems to cause a graphical glitch. Anyone know a solution?

Why? The problem occurs with Oblivion, SI + DLCs 1.2 and Deadly Reflex alone.
I'm running the latest version of Deadly Reflex (6.0b101).
I don't think it's my system:
- AMD Phenom X4 955 (4x 3,2 GHz)
- 4 GB RAM
- HD5770 1 GB
- Windows 7 64 Bit

Tried with OBSE 019 and with OBSE 020 :/ Same error.


And can I disable the new bow animations in first person? There are many graphicals glitches :(

But it only fixes the vanilla weapons and atm I'm playing with Oblivion WarCry - New Dimension :/

I switched out from DR5 to DR6 a couple hours into the game and it not longer let's me do shield bash or the acrobatics. So, I Tried resetting it via the item in your bag, but I can NOT even click on that item.

I then decided to make a new character and I do not get the option to assign any of the DR moves to a key at all. What gives?

I switched out from DR5 to DR6 a couple hours into the game and it not longer let's me do shield bash or the acrobatics. So, I Tried resetting it via the item in your bag, but I can NOT even click on that item.

I then decided to make a new character and I do not get the option to assign any of the DR moves to a key at all. What gives?

I had the same problem with the hourglass no longer responding, you can force a reset by changing a line in the ini:
set scc.resetMod to 0 ;set to 1 to reset the mod if you don′t have the hourglass - remember to change back to avoid reset on every game start
This will force the mod to use the settings in the ini, so set the keys you want in the ini.

However I ran into a problem a little bit into the game, when trying to do a sneak jump attack on a goblin, I had a repeatable crash, so I've changed back to DR5 until Skycaptain is back from his trip.

Sigh. Maybe I should download beta 2, fix this there, and have a weird beta 2.5 that'll work for DR6 but fix this bug.

Actually, no, sorry. That's just not worth my time. Skycaptain really needs to update this. If he doesn't, there's nothing more I'm willing to do.

Anyway, if you want to fix all of those meshes (or maybe just the one you use most often?), use NifSkope to change the Flags value on the Scb node from 16 to 14. There was a bug in the GotY edition's meshes, and people who made meshes based on those would have included it. Oblivion ignores this bug, as do later versions of NifSE, but before beta 3 I wasn't aware of the bug, and beta 3 does not work with DR 6. Technically the Flags value on all (weapon, at least) nodes should be 14 rather than 16. This is probably not true of more complicated models like armors.

Okay. For the most part, Deadly Reflex 6 has been working for me just fine. However, no matter what I do momentum just WILL NOT work. Because of this, I have never been able to achieve a combat critical. I see the momentum bar, but it stays at 0 and just won't change no matter how I behave in combat. I've seen other people with similar momentum problems in these threads, but I haven't found any answers on how to correct the issue. Perhaps I'm blind, I don't know, and I've reached a point of frustration where I don't really care. Can anyone help me with this?

It's probably working, just not very well. Do a "show drmomemtum" in the console to see whether it's actually changing values. As it is, it's very difficult to get it to increase and actually maintain it high enough for a critical. I've only pulled it off twice, and that was against very tough bosses in extended fights.

Anyway, the bad news is this thread is getting lock soon due to hitting the post limit. The good news is all the issues/solutions are probably in this thread somewhere, just have to do some reading. :P Maybe Klaus will start a new one.
