Deal Breakers

Ever been left trying to decide between two factions, then something pushes you over the edge to one side? One of the factions has a deal-breaker quality, and that leads you to oppose them? Yeah, I wanna hear about them.

For me, I realize that if the King did not exist, I'd certainly support Mr. House without a doubt. I've had discussions on this forum before where I say that anarchy, imo, will NOT always work and it needs the proper cultural influences to work. The King, to me, is a big part of why I believe anarchy in the Mojave could manage to work; his basic ideals are very fair, humane and, had they existed within the leaders of nations during the Great War, could've prevented the Great War altogether. For me, yes, the King's moral compass is more important for the people than Mr. House's ingenius ideas. I realize it's possible to keep both, but I also....it doesn't sit with me right, knowing that you have to murder a COMPLETELY innocent woman and her troop, all for doing what? For trying to help. I don't believe in "ranking" Elizabeth Kieren, the King and Mr. House in matter of importance; that to me is kind of sick. No, House is the one that refuses to play ball with the other two, and he should NOT be allowed to basically force Kieren's death just because he's powerful and influencial.

But yes, without a doubt if the King did not exist, I'd support Mr. House. Knowing that he's there though and believing his ideals to be rather spot-on morally and believing they DEFINITELY deserve a chance to live on and grow, I simply can't let House live.

The NCR, knowing how corrupt and similar they are to the old world government is the deal-breaker. If I support the NCR, I simply don't feel like I've truly accomplished jack. The moment I'm gone, they'll just go back to the same old problems they had before I arrived. Even IF the Mojave makes it out ok, the NCR will still be corrupt. In that sense, Indy and House offer better options, allowing me to swat the NCR on the nose and slap them into shape a bit by showing them that no, their current way of doing things is NOT enough.

Caesar I can respect, but I'm simply incapable of going through with his crueler methods.

That's what's so good about factions. They force you to choose a side; no matter the cruel alternative.
Spoiler
I chose Caesar's Legion, because at least I get to kill him through brain surgery ;)

You can finish the quest peacefully without her dying. The only people that always die are the King members that went with Pacer.

Caeser's Legion lost me once I heard their views on technology. Their fanatical devotion, constant desire to conquer and brutal treatment of their enemies I like, and I could even get past their treatment of women as ruthless management of a neccessary resource. But Caeser is willing to throw away the entire Securitron army and completely retards mankinds technological progress. That's when I knew this hoard of savages had to die to the last man.

House wanting me to destroy the BoS.
I was a member, there was no way I was going to betray them.

The entire CL is a deal breaker.
Between slavery, savagery, and having a goof ball of a leader, and wanting me to destroy the BoS,nope, can't do it.

Pacer and his ilk have decided me against ever doing an independent playthrough.

I might have been willing to let Mojave try it on its own in at least one game, but nope! If they're willing to attack the NCR just for giving out free food, how am I supposed to believe any of their grievances are legitimate?

I could side with NCR if they didn't have me kill House. I can sign a peace treaty between and forge an alliance two factions at war (NCR & BOS) but the only way to sort out the tension between House and NCR is to murder House? Doesn't sit well with me.
