At best, John will win 1 round.... without conjuration or poisons I do not see him going all the way.

EDIT: I am pretty sure that poisons can be be resisted or absorbed though....

I should have picked a longsword due to the fact that they seem to get 2-3 times more swings in because of stupid AI.

Yeah, I don't see John winning unless he gets lucky. His offense and defense are both very good, but it's not enough.

if I had realized that I could have skipped alteration and the shield ring to take the 20% fire/frost/lightning ring.... oh wells, I think 40% shield will probably come out about the same in the end anyway, but it would have saved my character some magicka

EDIT: Now I feel shameful and will cover my eyes during the Gurkog fight for I shall surely lose.

That was hilarious. :lmao:

And as reward for making me laugh I will reveal who is the 5th avenger. It's John and you can expect to see the video about 9 hours after this post of mine.

Sooooo ... anyone want to make any bets? :deal:

Waaah I dun wanna fight Jim now! :cryvaultboy:

Kidding of course! Bring it on Jim! :toughninja:

After looking at Jims stats thought I do think John's done for...

At least I'm not the only one wearing fur armor to this tournament. I don't expect Rayles to stand a chance but he's going to go in swinging for the pride of House Hlaalu and his fallen comrade Shoots-His-Bow, who fell to one of Jim's minions in a previous tournament.

Ol' Johnny's pretty tough, but Jim will probably make short work of him. His one advantage is that he has healing potions instead of spells, which Jim rarely seems to use until after slaughtering his opponents.

I actually don't know who John is here to avenge. I haven't played a Nord in any past tourney. Oh well.

THE FIFTH TRIAL

The 5th avenger who confronted Crazy Jim was John the Nord War Knight. His armor was black as ebony, but his soul was as birght as a star.

And he bled like .... well, like something that bleeds a lot. :P

BTW, Hairdo, Howgood's "fur" was actually heavy armor with the stats of ebony. Rayles is still the only one wearing real fur. And he is up later today.

No comments, huh?

Anyway:

THE SIXTH TRIAL

The 6th avenger to confront the psychopath was Rayles Hlaalu the Dunmer Warlock. His armor was made of mere fur, but his Luck was legendary.

Well, after the unpleasantness with the leaked videos on Monday we are now finally back on schedule. My plan was to release the vidos roughly in the order of success (which is generally measured in how much time Crazy Jim needs to kill you ). Originally Barahir and Howgood were supposed to air on Monday, John and Rayles on Tuesday, and Yurkig and Frosty today.

So now you know we're going in order of increasing success you can start guessing in which order I will show the remaining fights. the 4 characters left in play are (in alphabetical order) Completly Sane Jane, Gurkog, Jonathan, and Lord Kacj. Who do you think performed the best? And who do you think performed the worst?

You'll find the answer to the last question tomorrow morning, but the answer to the first question will have to wait until Friday. ;)

Did you notice, though, that Rayles made Jim stagger a bit? Perhaps as much as anyone else so far this tournament. Alas the strong attacks couldn't counter balance the weak defense, but that's the way of House Hlaalu. A poisoned dagger in the dark rather than a hulking warrior like a Redoran. His body will be raised as an ancestor guardian of a Dunmer tomb, and his armor and sword will be heirlooms for his people. Rest in peace.

edit: So you noticed my Luck huh? Yeah I was going for the "Gaenor theory" there. Didn't pan out, but I think Crazy Jim will have to apply a bit of Neosporin before turning into bed tonight, which is my consolation prize.

edit 2: Watched again. I disarmed his little skeleton in round 1. Way to go, House Hlaalu!

edit 3: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NbIWC0Bk75A should be Crazy Jim's theme music.

After this tournament just for fun, how about putting him up against something challenging like three leveled Goblin Warlords? Set to this theme.

Funny you mention this music. I had it playing for the 2nd Deadliest Warrior tournament (the first one I hosted).

As for the 3 Goblin Warlords, we'll see. First we need to see if he can beat the remaining 4 avengers. :P

Edit: Speaking of the 2nd DW tournament, here are Crazy Jim's matches (though it turns out none of them used the music Hiardo linked):

Crazy Jim vs Argnak: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1gAcLyksLEE
Crazy Jim vs khamul: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o1AI4Yb4UEw
Crazy Jim vs Kari: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LbttvChWyEw
Crazy Jimvs Arya: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BDctOZ6fx4k

I like it how in the finale the first thing Jim says is "You'll never take me down." So true. :D

Edit2: While I'm at it, here are also the links to Jim's fights in the Sons of Skyrim tournament.

That's pretty amazing. Jim has won all 14 battles he has been in to date, with a total of 0 deaths and at least 28 kills, maybe even more for enemies with speechcraft.

I'm confident that Jane will hand Jim at least one death before the end. They're too evenly matched for Jim to not die at least once. Or maybe that's just wishful thinking ...

Dragatus, I believe that the reason NPCs only wear one ring is that all rings are set to fill the rightring slot in the construction set. The player is an exception for some reason, but I think a custom made leftring slot ring could be worn alongside a normal one. That may not be right, and it's a bit late now, but that may be something to test before the next tournament.

That sounds like a good explanation. I will look into it. But first:

THE SEVENTH TRIAL

The 7th avenger was a Nord called Jonathan, Eviscerator by trade. He entered the fight with high hopes and a holy weapon that would make Jim's Skelton Guardian turn around and run away.

Crazy Jim: "Holy schmoly. Where are your gods now, huh?"

That leaves us with Completely Sane Jane, Gurkog, and Lord Kacj as the top 3 avengers. Any guesses who is up next?

Wow. That did not work. I had hoped that if he hit the skeleton with turn undead, it would run and he'd focus on the real threat instead. If anything, he chased it even more.

Also, if the fourth best avenger went down in under a minute, I would not be entirely surprised if Jim beats them all. And there's no way a "completely sane" person would ever agree to fight him.

That was interesting. Johnathan certainly gave Jim a run for his money more than the other combatants. I expect it to go Gurkog, Lord Kacj then Completely Sane Jane.

Best to worst or vice versa?

I think Jane is very closely matched to Jim, but still very slightly inferior, so she could win a battle, or maybe even the whole thing, but he'll probably win a majority of the time. Gurkog looks to have very good defense and offense but his weapon enchantment will be pretty useless, stealing an average of 4 health a hit.
