OK. So my usual RP style tends towards the lone survivalist type. I usually wear light armor - merc grunt - choose a rifle (usually a bolt or lever action. sometimes the Survivalist Rifle), a hand gun, a knife, maybe a couple grenades or sticks of dynamite. Lately, as I wander the mojave waiting for LR to come out, I've been thinking that my usual weapon load out has made dealing with legion assassin squads a pain in the [censored] at higher levels when they pop up unexpectedly with some pretty decent weapons. That is until a couple of days ago I decided to try out a grenade rifle. Man, what have I been doing for all this time? The GR is my new best friend! As soon as a squad pops up now I just un-strap the ol'trusty grenade rifle+ and start popping a few grenades their way. Problem solved!

So, does anyone else have any special tactics for dealing with them?

Drugs, lots of drugs.

That and a Thermic Lance, Super Sledge or LMG loaded with AP rounds :hubbahubba:

I just kill them with my normal loadout. No different strategies.

I take down the Legion Assassin the same way I take down the rookie hounds, I kill them, loot their valuables, and leave their corpse for the crows. The Legion is just an inconveniance in my way, ergo, I crush them.
