I'm a member of the "PC Master Race" but prefer to play on console. Guess that just means I'm exceptionally lazy.

The problem is that it can turn real ugly, real quick. I've seen it happen over and over and over. It's more trouble than it's worth, trust me.
and on that note, this is off topic, so it's off I go...
That's what I'm saying though. The only instances in which I ever make jokes like this are instances in which there is an absolutely 0% chance of anything turning ugly because of it.
There is a long history of bitterness and verbal sniping around PCs and consolces, on both sides of the PC/console divide. Using a loaded term like this is, as BarretsFloyd pointed out, throwing fuel on a fire. You may know you are joking, but others may not.
Speaking for myself I loathe the term. I would be jubilant if that hideous epithet disappeared tomorrow. It is not funny. It has never been funny. It never will be funny. It is divisive, it is incendiary, and it adds nothing of substance to any discussion.
I have to agree with you good friend, uncalled for in deed.
I dare say mods will be heavily vetted as not to be "dirty". That is, mods that change things that are not intended to be changed, or break the game in addition to what you have mentioned. I also wonder how they will handle compatibility when multiple mods change the same things.
I can only speak for myself, but it's only a term and it bothers me not . . . hell I've been called way worse lol. However, I'm older and grew up with the old sticks and stones adage, as well as the golden rule. If only more people could follow those two the world would be a better place.
Damn, come on people. Do you think I'm new to gaming? I've been a PC gamer for like 20 years. I was probably gaming before half the people on this message board were even alive. I remember back in my early days of PC gaming having people look at me and say "Huh, why do you game on PC? Don't you have a Super Nintendo?" The shoe was on the other foot back then. I'm aware of the contention around this issue. I know when it is and is not appropriate to make a joke. When I'm sitting around with some of my best friends drinking a few beers and playing some video games IS INDEED the appropriate time to make a joke. They'll typically make a couple of them back at me. We all, absolutely, without a single question in the world, understand that we are joking about it.
You guys don't like to even consider thinking about possibly maybe ever using it as a joke, and that's fine...but I feel like I'm getting lectured here about the types of things that my friends and I have been joking about for literally YEARS.
So, you're saying mods should be PC-exclusive?
How greedy and selfish.
a game is for fun and If i go out and spend $50 on one I want the full benefit out of it... Also threads like this support the effort and development of the game so don't be so rude.
I think it should be:
1. Fix and improvise the game, without the help of modding community
2. DLC
3. Keep improvising and bug hunting the game
I know how you feel! I have played pc games since 1982 and console games since 1996. I have no idea what I am.
