Death Claw / whisperer

Post » Fri Jun 26, 2009 8:55 pm

The fallout universe is ripe with ideas, unfortunately most I am sure are impossible to implement. I cannot wait to see what comes to be, but here is my dream.. :)

Can I be a Death Claw Whisperer, and use varied size and type death claws as I level, as my "pet" in battle?

Perhaps we could even cut to the chase, and let me be a descendant of one of the intelligent enclave awol Death Claw's from Vault 13.

Interested to see what classes everyone else would like to see.

Wow, I don't like your dream so much. :)

I prefer to have him sit outside towns that aren't "pet" friendly, within whistle distance, just in case something pop's off. In which case he would rip the arms off the guards and beat them to death with their own appendages. :) Yeah that dream sounds much better. :)

Come on... really? Who wants angry radioactive beaver? I mean that was one night like 10 years ago... it doesn't even glow anymore.

Seriously though this is an MMO and I have a reputation to uphold... How would that look. The explanation of what the pet is would always have to be followed up with, but it really kicks ass. No I want something that following me explaining, this is my *. Third party says "that thing looks bad ass". But a radioactive rodent works for level 1. :)

i was all for pets, but death claws could be a little OP, or it would diminish how scary they are in the game.
secondly in fallout tactics and i guess in some extent fallout 2 they could talk and had quite alot of intelligence. probably too smart for being a pet.

that aside it would be cool and would be OP. BUT, the whole pet class could be fun, mole rats , scorpions, giant rats, rad roaches, dogs.

one thing i didnt like about wow, was how cool hunters were and how dull they are now. rare pets were cool then they normalised em. man i would love to see some super mutant pets. like other animals who have been dipped. not necessary for pet classes was just an after thought.

Yes, pets have been apart of Fallout since the beginning. A Death Claw could be over powered, but I assume there will be, as there are in the fallout universe, different kinds of death claws, with varying size, aggression, and intelligence. If there are intelligent Death Claws, I hope I can be one :), otherwise, when I am end game tier, it would be sweet to have an adolescent/teen death claw as a pet.

This could be done many ways, from enchanter based/ whisperer, or even go get a baby and raise that fellah. Like any harder to get companion, I expect and hope for challenging pets, and would love rare pets, but they don't scale so well, and the flamers will cry nerf for anyone that spends the time to get a truly rare one, that has teeth.

Love the idea for randomly dipped animals. I mean some varmints must have slipped in at some point. :)
