--==Death by Steel==--

After a long day of patrolling the D.C. ruins, he had begun to return to the Citadel along with his team. Then, out of nowhere, the Outcasts had appeared, ambushing them. One threw a pulse grenade. The surge of the EMP had locked up his armor, the young knight couldn't move. Electic pain bolted through his body, even in his Power Armor, nothing could save him. He fellon his side. Through his visor, he could see his former brothers murder his teammates in cold blood, he could see Paladin Kodiak stabbed in the gap between the steel plates of his t-45d with a ripper, and the other knight was shot point blank in the face with gauss pistol, exploding his head. Brock could only imagine what would happen to himself. The one who had ordered the ambush approached him.

The Outcast took off his helmet. It was his brother. But Brock couldn't speak because of the electicity coarsing through his body, and couldn't take off his helmet because of the EMP. Sadness gripped the heart of Knight Brock, and for the first time in his life, he cried. His brother lifted a combat shotgun and leveled it to the head of the young knight. Pulling the trigger, a short unimaginable pain came and everything ended. The young knight Brock had been killed by his brother, but he would never know, he had never bothered to remove the helmet. If he had, would things be different? Perhaps. But no one would ever know, and the brother of Knight Brock will always wonder about what had happened to him, but will never know.

Fin.

Did anyone like this? I was always a svcker for stories like this, where the villains win, but the hopelessness was so unbelievable. They always brought a tear to my eye. Not from this story, but other times.

I can handle, this one was just a short story, no continuations were ever intended.

I might just make a topic that will add my short stories to every once in a while.

I make short stories when I need to get away from one idea or story to refresh my writing.
