History

In the previous year when Caesars Legion defeated the NCR forces during the Second Battle of Hoover Dam no one expected Mr. House to escort the Legion out the region they thought they had finally taken over with an army of Securitrons, the result of this defeat lead to Caesar dying of a heart attack and Lucius taking, shockingly the Legion was nearly unaffected by the change in leadership and to everyone’s surprise actually benefited from it. Lucius marched the Legion back to Arizona with pride believing that the Legion had still defeated its arch enemies, the NCR. The Legion also believed that what happened was a victory and for a week the Legion was given a break and were allowed to celebrate all over Legion territory, but when the week ended the Legion was collected and began preparation for their next move. No one has seen a Legionary out of their territory since.

The NCR was largely affected by the result of the battle; they were not only defeated, but humiliated by the Legion. Nearly every location the NCR had in the Mojave was attacked by the Legion simultaneously, there were no reinforcements and no chance of victory, when the NCR tried to retreat but were unsuccessful, out of thousands of soldiers involved in what is now called the Mojave War only a hundred and four men survived, and over half of them with life altering injuries. The defeat lead to several riots throughout the NCR and eventually lead to a short, but devastating, civil war in the NCR. Thousands of citizens and troopers died in the riots and war and tens of thousands fled into the Mojave, but were denied access to New Vegas and were forced to live in the somewhat-independent towns of the Mojave or the newly form refugee camps which were a product of the Followers of the Apocalypse.

New Vegas neighbouring towns were annexed into Mr. House’s empire and were fixed up and renovated in ninth months. Under Mr. House’s rule the city of New Vegas was flowing with cash and was the safest place in all of post-apocalyptic America.

The result of the Second Battle of Hoover dam had vast repercussions for the Death Valley Wasteland, a place that belonged to the Mojave Desert but was located in California. The NCR had noticed the place before but never cared to ever do anything about the city that was until their loss at Hoover Dam. The NCR started to send small groups of Troopers claiming that Death Valley was a part of California, and thus a part of the NCR, the Death Valley Council, the people who rules over Death Valley

You are a citizen of the Death Valley wastes, a zone that is ruled over by the Death Valley Council, a group that was formed many years ago when three Vaults joined together and created Death Valley City. A man named Adam Vega recently spoke with you saying, he had this to say

Things are getting tense in the region and we all know it, with the NCR claiming our cities belong to them and the arrival of the Graz-Ak tribe from the north and the [censored]in’ Grim Reaper raider cult making everybody’s life a living hell you could help make a difference, or hell if it turns out that way in control of this situation that’s starting to form. You have no reason to trust me and I can’t promise that we’ll succeed in our goals but sooner or later everybody in the DVW is going to get involved in this situation, we best do it now while we have a chance to survive. I’m sick of people fighting over who control us, over who owns the land we live on, and I’m finally doing something about it. This land is the peoples land, always has been, always will be, these big bad groups who think they own and control us are going to realize that there most dangerous enemies is the people that fuel them.

What Adam had to say has interested you, his meeting is today and you’ll be attending it. Who knows who will show up and what Adam has to say; only time will tell?

This RP is only accepting seven members, you can post your sheet but there is a chance that you will not be accepted, I am accepting members whose character sheets are suited best for the RP, not on the quality of them, though it is somewhat of a factor. This RP will have a sort of rag to riches start, without spoiling much we’ll be getting big in the beginning of the RP, mainly because of the several time skips we’ll be doing early on. This is purely so the RP does not stretch out and get stale and boring early on. The way the RP will operate is fairly linear but I assure you the plot has many twists and turns that will keep things fresh and fun. I advise that you not join if you won’t be able to post nearly every day. Remember this is a group RP which means no physical contact between characters, and no spitting on characters without permission. I say no spitting because come on, someone’s obviously going to kick ass if they get spit on .
