Hi

So there I was, level 17, waking up from a sleep in Neil's Shack. I was going to assault Black Mountain, when I saw something moving in Quarry Junction. Equipped my sniper, and saw a deathclaw roaming there. I wondered what would happen if I sniped it. Shot it in the head, and it came running. I quickly hid inside the shack. The deathclaw's footsteps were quite audible, playing cat and mouse with me. Coupled with the surprisingly pleasant music playing on Black Mountain Radio, it was quite a scene. I took out my shotgun, went out and shot the DC in the face. Then it ended me in two hits. That was my first encounter.

What is the recommended level for taking out deathclaws, and are any extra-effective weapons for it? I have a Guns skill of 90.
