Debbie Harry of Blondie Turns 70!

I can't believe that much time has passed since I first heard them. This "time marches on" stuff svcks. Anyway, she can rock a black plastic garbage bag better than anyone else. Talk about a pop music icon. Oh, and happy birthday Debbie. :cake:

All I really know her from is the song Rapture. The rap segment was mind blowingly terrible, but that is coming from someone who was raised on some of the best hip hop decades afterwards.

But yeah, damn. Seventy.

Wow. Now I'm feeling old(er). Hope I look that good when I'm 70. Kinda wish I looked that good now.

Blondie were one of those really key sounds of my youth, they seemed to be almost omnipresent on the radio in the late '70s and early '80s.

Nice to see she still is rocking, since many of her peers have died or are just too old to be active.
She was always a very cool lady, not intimidated to be a rocker in the male dominated music scene. And an amazing voice!

I grew up loving Blondie, and Parallel Lines and Eat to the Beat still stand as awesome rock/pop albums of the 70's. (I still have them on vinyl and on my iPod.)
