These are the few Vaults which are being created world wide !!

1.United States uses Vigilant Shield to stockpile resources, and train for a massive catastrophe bigger than FEMA can handle.

2.Norwegian politicians construct a “doomsday vault” or “seed vault” on the remote island of Svalbard in preparation for all plant life on the planet being wiped out.

3.Russia’s enormous Yamantau Mountain project, believed to be large enough to house 60,000 people.
And these are just the substantiated claims. A place like Yucca Mountain in Nevada that the government works on secretly, and then downplays its importance seems suspicious to me.

4.India’s doomsday vault. If the land lies cracked and barren waiting for the rain, if the sea swallows coastal paddy fields, if plagues of pests wipe crops out of existence, India has an insurance policy – a set of seeds carefully preserved in permafrost, ready to be restored, that can be cultivated and sown to feed its people.

5.European Commission President Jose Manuel Barroso and Nobel Peace Prize winning environmentalist Wangari Matai will be among the personalities present at the inauguration of the vault, which has been carved into the permafrost of a remote Arctic mountain, just some 1,000 kilometres (620 miles) from the North Pole.

6.The Svalbard Global Seed Vault opened February 26 on a remote island in the Arctic Circle, receiving inaugural shipments of 100 million seeds that originated in over 100 countries. With the deposits ranging from unique varieties of major African and Asian food staples such as maize, rice, wheat, cowpea, and sorghum to European and South American varieties of eggplant, lettuce, barley, and potato, the first deposits into the seed vault represent the most comprehensive and diverse collection of food crop seeds being held anywhere in the world.

If you research the Maya Calender that so many people think predicts the end of the world, you'll realize that's it's simply the start of a new "B'ak'tun" within the calander. This is supposed to happen every 144,000 days.

This has happened before, lastly on September 8, 1618. At that time, they created a continuation of the calendar (which, being based on the lunar cycle and being written on a stone tablet, requires a lot of work). They would have done it again on December 21st, 2012, had the Mayan empire surived until that date.

Did anyone of you read the first sentence of my post or just the heading ? It was supposed to be a discussion about the vaults being created and not if 2012 is true or not, personally i don't care [censored] about it, just got curious about all the seed banks and vaults being constructed...

If you really wanted me to start a debate on 2012 and stuff then i could easily argue with that with facts and figures provided form scientists, but that is not the purpose of this thread..Hope you read the posts next time
