This video gives me hope that there will be dismemberment. The warrior holding the severed head is much darker than anything we've seen in the Elder Scrolls so far.

Me too!!!

Hope we can hold some heads too! :toughninja:

Hmmm, you know he said that there is a new system that adds decals, scars and face painting. I'm suspicious if this means that it's applied apart from the character customization.

Man I hope not. That was one of the worst features in the original fable. I spend all this time making this great looking character only to have him look like he went through a meat grinder by the time I hit hour 15. If they include it I will be severely annoyed and frustrated.

I managed to make it through the game with no scars by using the shield spell until the mission where you get imprisoned, the game scars you for dramatic effect. I was unhappy.

Yeah, all the armor looks sweet. The orc armor, the elven armor and I believe the armor with the halberd in it's hand is dwemer armor, which also looks sweet.

Body customizations and scars, decals, facepaints... Yeah! We will get a great set of customizations!

I′m now curious to see something about the body customization... May we see fat nords, slim ones, smaller, taller some monstruous muscle men?

Oh yeah... Now we′ll have a realy variety on NPCs and a unique character!

Well, now that I heard it all I can talk about it. Races have been worked on, big awesomeness! More unique and it's easier to tell the difference between races. Yeah!

I am really liking the look of those towns/cities.
That picture at the upper right of the wall looks like an awesome sacrificial altar.
...and the drawings of the female characters actually look sixy.

Good stuff. Another interesting factoid. On one of the concept art pieces shown, one of the characters is shown with a halberd. It is kind of faint, almost if it was drawn in then erased later. Could it be a clue to those kinds of weapons in the game? Maybe, but it is never wise to go only based on concept art lol.

There was 2 with Halberds, one that was labeled The Execusioner and anouther one with an erased one likely to show posture of the one holding it.
There is also a srawing in the bottom corner on the drawing board when they are talking beside the character artist (2:40 into the video) that shows different postures while holding a staff so likely staffs are in

Boats! Boats I say! 0:59! :D Of course, they might just be for decoration like Oblivion's Anvil.

I find it interesting where it says:
Riften Fishery
- smokers
- hatchery
- advlt pond
- gutting tables

Seems like they are really trying to make the world as detailed as possible!

Probably could have guessed that... I just hope it's an actual particle effect now, not a 2d thing.

Op you forgot face paint.

FACEPAINT?!?

Then again that just a manly way of describing make-up.

Nords don't wear make-up, they wear FACEPAINT!

Have you seen Morrowind nords?

I have to say that I disagree with the interpretation of this video commentary. He said these exact words: "There's new systems for allowing decals and scars, face painting and just a lot higher resolution assets for generating all the characters in the game."

To me that means that the engine allows them to do this easily but not necessarily that the feature will be available to the player to create custom decals or scars. They could have meant that the game designers would be placing decals and scars and perhaps the player might acquire scars through combat. But I didn't hear any confirmation that we'd have any direct control over decals, scars, etc. I definitely did not get the impression we would be drawing custom insignias for our armor.

I am not saying that we will not have this ability. I am just saying that the video did not confirm in my mind that we'd be able to control such things.

I don't see how you can't draw the conclusion that they are in the game. He directly states that it's in the game. Why else would he mention it? That's like saying "We can do spears. Yeah, spears. But they're not in the game." in a trailer for a game. Why would someone do that? They wouldn't.

Can someone put it on youtube.

I don't think we have the rights to do that.

I am just saying that he might have been indicating it *is* in the game but simply as a feature that Bethesda utilizes to make the enemies and NPCs more believable... not as a feature that allows the player to add this content.

Again, I don't see why they would give more customization to NPC's and not the PC just for the sake of "not" letting you do it. That makes no sense.
To use a similar example, that's like saying "Yes! Spears are in the game! We know you guys wanted Spears for sooooooo long, so now they are in the game! For guards only."
I really really doubt that they'd do that. I see your point, but it just seems like you're pulling hairs here.
