Hmm, good question, I doubt it though.

I really doubt it. It's hard enough to decapitate a human in a single swipe, imagine trying it on an enormous, armoured dragon neck.

"The strongest armor is made from dragon scales"
So... if you can decapitate dragons, you got some WEAK ARMOR THERE

@Alex

I hear you.

But it could be one big gory, violent, awesome finishing move scene where you just hack away until the blade cuts right through its neck. I'm not saying there won't be something similar to this. I doubt very seriously that a fight with a dragon will end with a swipe of your sword and the dragon's body falling to the ground.

Ironicaly, I was just thinking of this, the moment before I saw this thread pop up.

I highly doubt that it will be possible.

OK fine. Point taken.

But I hope we can rip it's guts straight out of its soft belly!

As epic as that would be, it seems highly unlikely. But I'm no expert, so what do I know? Lol

considering you saw him jump down with an axe to the top of the head and the thing rolled over dead with head intact I would say no. Also, dragon scales and bone are VERY VERY strong. I think I would be disappointed if you could easily cleave a dragon's head off.
