Decapitation death not occuring

Post » Tue Jan 19, 2016 9:13 am

This is no big deal, as long as the enemy is dead it's fine with me, but I am curious why with

any of my characters (both level 60+) after killing more human enemies than I can count both

in and out of VATS with a variety of melee and ballistic weapons I have never decapitated an

enemy.

I just tried using a unique baseball bat with maxed big league perk and killing/resurrecting a

human enemy dozens of times with VATS/non VATS headshots, and even doing the same thing

with a harpoon gun mod I downloaded. I can kill a legendary deathclaw with ease in survival

mode, but I can never decapitate a little human. I am curious why this is?

Not that it applies just reading this gave me a flash back of Playing Postal 2. When a persons head came of you could kick it around like a ball. Though I have seen many a human head lying around after fire fights in this game. Maybe its the full Rifleman perk I have and the "most powerful rifle in the FO4 world, it'll take your head clean off"

Postal 2 was a totally awesome game! It's a shame we can't play football with heads in Fo4 :(

Nothing like Napalming someone for a Bad Touch Crotchy. Though I don't think I ever tried to melee a head in this one to see if it somewhat works.

No idea. I see heads popping off all the time with headshots.

Well, I use a normal but fully modded out Combat Shotgun for close up work.

That monster removes the heads quickly and easily since I maxed out Rifleman.

Heck, it even blows the Shells clean off of Mirelurks.

In fact, when clearing places with lots of Feral Ghouls I will deliberately blow the heads off of any kill still containing a head to differentiate them from Ghouls playing possum.

I remember The Deliverer would take the occasional head off in Vats when it did one of those special "profile" shots or a crit to the head, although it would take them off clean rather than blow them apart like my Shotty.
