Deceptions and Willpower
The world as we know it is balanced on the tip of a sword. Tension runs high, and war looms behind fragile treaties. The elves pressure the Men to end the war in the North while the Empire is not too eager to send soldiers away from their vulnerable homeland. As the Imperials fight the rebel Nords in the north, things at home have been worse than ever. 200 years ago, Cyrodiil was plagued by one of the worst disasters to be recorded in history. Now, it seems, it faces a similar threat. A village to the south of Chorrol goes completely silent. Everyone, including a small Imperial unit, disappears from the face of the earth. There were no signs of struggle. Everyone just up and disappeared. Months went by without a word, and everyone began to have wild fears of what could be the source. The rumors run wild, and fingers are pointed. As the initial shock begins to finally wear off, the grand city of Chorrol suffers a likewise fate. Completely silent. From the Count to the youngest stableboy, they are all never heard of again. The Empire then becomes a frenzy. It is investigated by legions of soldiers, but nothing is to be found.
The Emperor and his advisers thus hand selected a chosen few, experts on war and other disciplines, to lend a hand. Letters were sent out, in hopes of finding someone who could shed light on the matter.
The group summoned soon realizes the impending threat that has caused this. A mystery soon becomes what might be the end of an empire, and an agent of an apocalypse. Factions rise to power while some fall in a horrible collapse. Powers rush to save themselves, and thousands of lives soon become on the line. The greatest power ever known is at hand, and many become slave to it.
Only a select few have the destiny to save the world.
See through the deceptions. Stay brave. Stay steadfast. Willpower is all.

The group that is going to be contacted is going to be RP'd by you. This means there will be more small-scale RP, with no armies to control or cities to sack. There will be large emphasis on character relations and interactions. I want to have somewhere between seven to twelve people in this RP, because having any more than that would soon get out of control. However, I strongly encourage whoever wants to participate in this RP to go outside of the norm. While muscle will be necessary in this RP, I really encourage people to play different roles. Scholars, theologists, philosophers, Daedra experts, wizards, historians, psychologists, etc. I don't want to have, however, ten scientists running around getting killed because they have no combat experience.
I don't know how many people are going to be interested so I'm holding this interest-gauging thread. This is going to be a relatively short RP, with the entire story already planned out. I'm super stoked for the ending, so I'm definitely wanting to get to that point (a RP with an ending? What sorcery is this?)
Hopefully there will be enough interest to really get this going. I'm eager to GM it.
