So the carrot worked

I purchased the Decimation pack the idea of a new weapon and a smoke grenade swayed me to purchase….Blah blah blah Cool story bro

I paid the $9.99 (10 something with tax ) US

I played for 2 hours last night. Not one single server had anyone playing any of the 5 new maps that I just purchased. I was able to check out 4 of the maps solo for awhile till boredom made me exit. Cool maps hopefully I will get a chance to play them.

Anyway point of my e-mail is two things

1. I loaded my character with the new weapon and smoke grenade and proceeded to play crash site and instant team action (standard maps) Servers DDD and another ranked server. Three times if memory serves me right I was disconnected with a Can not verify DCL Purchase Verification Error. (I am going off of memory ~ it may have been worded a little different) I had to reload and when I did my character was defaulted with a SCAR and standard grenade. What is this all about? And how do I stop it from happening again?

2. Purchase of new maps . It was a little confusing
A . I logged in and selected the map I wanted
B. It stated I needed a CC # on file
C. I logged into gamesas and loaded a CC#
E. I went back to the game and purchased ~ Right as I accepted the purchase the system Froze and went non responsive had to force close Cyrsis 2 with task manager
F. I went into gamesas to verify if the purchase went through it had and had a download button next to the purchase on my account.
G. I downloaded it (I got a zip error) I did this in Firefox.
H. I remembered a Java prompt on the first download so I went into IE logged into gamesas and downloaded again (I got a zip error)
I. I thought I was screwed and was getting ready to formulate an e-mail support ticket.
J. I logged into Crysis 2 to make people pay for my frustration. I thought lets check my downloaded content a download button had appeared.
K. I used the download button in crysis2 and then re logged in.
L. I had the errors listed in #1 but was able to play a few matches and explore maps

It is confusing why is there a "download here" button on gamesas if it does not work? Or at least have a step by step listed


Any help with #1 would be appreciated

firstly are you using disk or steam?

for the first map pack i had major problems. i found a workaround where i downloaded the dlc and then drag and dropped it into my games folder and everything worked. whatever you do dont open the zip file as it corrupts it and you might as well delete it and download again.

for the second dlc i downloaded it in the game and it automatically went into games folder and loaded first time.
im running steam by the way.

you can find your games folder in start > all folders > saved games > crysis 2 > dlc. just drag the zip into there.

I am running disk not steam.

So it sounds like I have 2 corrupt zips and a legit download? Since I already downloaded in the game I really do not want to delete it how do I know a legit from bad one?

I've had the same problem with dlc.. but I just reboot and it was back to normal.. happened about 3 or 4 times so far though...
