Hi all,
First of all, my questions are for experienced players, etc. Please, no spoilers except for what I specifically ask. On the other hand, early-game *SPOILER WARNING* for people who haven't played at all yet (nothing too major, but just in case).
-----------
So I'm doing a bunch of side quests, and I did do the Brotherhood of Steel assistance quest, where I get the option of joining after. I elected to think about it, but at some point I know I need to go back and give them an answer.
I'm not yet sure if I want to have an alliance with the Brotherhood. I like the Minutemen better so far (playing a good guy) and have some...doubts...as to the Brotherhood's intentions.
If I decline their offer to join, does this mean I miss out on a lot of quests? Similarly, is there any benefit to NOT joining them, like additional quests elsewhere? In other words, if the only thing declining them will do is prevent me from experiencing a lot of content (with no other content to make up for it), I might as well join for now and decide to leave later if I end up not liking them. However, in real life, I feel like I might choose not to join, especially if I get opportunities elsewhere because of that choice. If anyone knows, I'd appreciate the input!
On a completely unrelated note, I'm trying to figure out shared workbenches via trade routes (Local Leader perk). If I link, from say, Sanctuary to Red Rocket, and then link from Red Rocket to Tenpines, does that mean Sanctuary and Tenpines are linked now too? If so, all I need to do is make a path between each point, as as long as they're connected somehow, it's all shared, so I have access to everything at any workbench. Otherwise, I'd be better of linking each one to Sanctuary so Sanctuary is the place with everything. Make sense? Anyone know?
Thanks!
