That would actually be pretty cool. I hope they did something about the item placement it was so frustrating just trying to put a book on a shelf.

It would be really nice if the furniture store actually let you buy specific tapestries, couches, chairs etc instead of just a package deal like in Oblivion. And let you place them wherever you want. That would make it a lot more personal, and I for one would be all about decking out my crib =)

I would love this feature! TES already creates an amazing world and adventure you can be part of, and extending it with features like this would make wating for the next game to come out an easier task. LOL!

I'd be content with containers that showed the item/items inside in stylish manner, like bookshelf containers, armor stands, weapon hangers for walls. Oh, and maybe atleast some kind of customatization if not full, like choosing a theme or something.

Rag dolls for your armor so they're on full display.

A better way to handle books. And taxidermy! I want my first-killed dragon's head above my fireplace!

Yes it was... So much frustration! :banghead:

I loved decorating my houses in Morrowind and Oblivion and certainly hope they make it easier on us in Skyrim. If anything give us a "decorate mode" where you would basically go into a construction set/Forge (halo) type camera and be able to manipulate objects and place items from your inventory and furniture you have purchased etc. It doesn't have to be too advanced just enough to let us personalize a bit.

I need two things for decorating my house to suit me. I need to be able to put books on shelves properly and I need a way to place items easily and have them stay there without too much tinkering around.

hmmm... this could actually be very easy to make, you can "give" the rag doll the armor and it will "wear it" and it will be displayed.

I loved to decorate my house in Morrowind, in oblivion It never really caught me, partly because things would semi randomly burst off a table if you walked too close, and partly because there were few actual treasues I was proud of finding.. So yea, decoration all the way, would love to have a choice in which rooms I'd want and where a potential house would be placed

The physics should be certainly taken under some kind of control - I constantly bump in to objects and send things fluting in Oblivion, after my visit half on Imperial city looks like a twister visited the interiors :D And not only no one picks up the stuff I send fluting, but with the theft system, even I can't re order it to the way it was.
And as for home decoration - things like book placement scripts should be in game without any mods, as well as the means to easily place other objects just the way we want them. And we should have working armor and waepon stands, not just for our home but for all buildings - shops, other warriors houses and so on.

I spent so MANY hours lining shelves, the walls and the floors with armor and weapons, probably as many as actually getting the items(s). The rag dolls and stands would be a blessing, just activate it like a container(Knights of the Nine) and there ya go. Perfectly placed aromor, weapon, and shield.

Perhaps, but it shouldn't be necessary that such features are only accessible by the CS. If even Lionhead can make it work in their Fable games, I see no reason why it couldn't work as an ingame feature for Skyrim.

I agree, you shouldn't have to use the Construction Set. Decorating your house is a big part of role playing. In Oblivion, without a mod like Decorator Assistant decorating was far too clunky. I also feel you shouldn't need a mod to make decorating easier. It should be built into the game. That's my opinion even though I will be playing on PC and will have access to the CS and mods.

Yeah, the DISPLAY MODEL OF THE CRUSADER was exactly what I though of when "containers" were mentioned. I could get behind that.

It always irked me that the Battlehorn Castle dlc did not have an armoury. I had this vast castle to myself but no armoury to store my gear. If we get a castle in Skyrim, please let it have an armoury and not a broom closet. Thanks. :deal:
