how many time for the servers open?
That is strange, I remember them saying in the past (and Pete Hines himself) that TESO will be playable on a wide range of systems. They should of done what ArenaNet did for Guild Wars 2: They actually had to special order video cards that are not even in production anymore just to test out the game on.
What are your PC specs, btw? Just curious
Sympathetic an' all, but you're sort of...not answering the question.
You know, GPUs with Shader Model 3.0 support have been produced since 2005. It really isn't a high requirement. It svcks that you can't play ESO, but you can't reasonably expect them to accommodate for every PC out there.
Unless your video card is good enough and the beta client doesn't properly detect it, that would be a different matter.
Still, I know you're a console player, aren't you going to buy a next-gen (current gen now) console sometime in the future?
I don't really know. Some checking tells me it's closer to five/ six years than three years old though. How time flies. :/
It's something called an intel dual-core with windows xp.
I don't know what a shader model is. If it's from 2005 then I don't know why I don't have it, my pc is certainly younger than that.
I don't think my budget this year will allow the purchase of any new electronics that I do not need. Washing machine yes, console no.
11PM tonight
Download takes forever though so i may have to start tomorrow
You can check the specs in Device Manager in the Control Panel (not sure how to get there on Win XP, should be somewhere in System Properties). Or run Dxdiag (Start -> Run -> enter dxdiag).
Basically, it's used to render graphics. It tells your graphics card what to do. The newer the model, the more complex and realistic the visuals can be. 2005 is when 3.0 first appeared, but not all new PCs immediately had it. And I feel you, I need to build a PC and I still don't know how or when I'm going to afford it.
Hi guys,
I got a Beta invite last month, but when I tried to download it, I got an error (They sent the invite by mistake, because I have a Mac)
So yesterday, I got another invite...before I try to do this again, can you guys tell me if this is beta window is open to Mac users?
Thanks!
There is an option for downloading the MAC client.
Is the UK time midnight? ...... hmm...... whether to stay up all night or get to bed at 6pm and grab 6 hours sleep ....
Don't know if you're aware, but people have been logged in and playing for some hours now.
No I wasn't! thanks, will have to wait for morning for me, guess my EST time brain isn't working
Well, hopefully now people understand NOT to post anything from the Beta!
I launched the launcher (heh) and it is stuck at "loading defaults". Reinstalled to no avail, still stuck.
Computer crashes after playing for 2 minutes... Usually at or just after character creation screen. Can anyone help???
Did you not bother to read the start of this thread?
Hello everyone! We’re thrilled by the excitement here over The Elder Scrolls Online beta test. To prevent beta-related threads from overwhelming the forum, let's please keep all related discussion in here. Additionally, a few reminders:
This thread can be used to discuss publicly available information about the beta. Participants of beta can’t really say anything, but we do want to leave this open for everyone else rather than locking it as an FAQ.
My Bad... Just running out of ideas on how to get this to work... been waiting 4 hours for an Agent to help and no luck on the beta support fourms
Not to discuss beta content in any way (for you mods), but I'd suggest checking your temperatures after you turn your computer back on. Could try enabling v-sync also.
I've looked through all e-mails I've received in relation to this beta and found nothing about this private forum. Is there another way I can find the details?
Now that people in US timezones are going to bed, Its probably a good time to send out invites to people in Aus/NZ/Japan time zone
Keep the test going you know.....
Bringing this back to the top in the hope that people read it.
