Got a small request, as I don't want to use illegaly fotos of celebrities, I need some free faces to give my TC-Characters more of a personality. Those of you who'd like to be made into a piece of art like this, plz PM me. I need all kind of ages, preferably mature faces which show some great personality. Not looking for super-model faces. I can take a picture of myself any time ya know!!! :P

Och, bloody copycat you are.

Anyway the preview pics look very promising, but why use morrowind if it's a total conversion? I just have a feeling morrowind's mechanics won't work too sell with a futuristic setting.

Crispy like in "Crispy chicken", I think that fits perfect for what I meant to say, lol!!! :P

On topic: I use MW game engine, because that's the one I'm familiar with. I was thinking about using UDK, but this would mean another 2 years of learning all that stuff. I will change the whole gameplay in my TC and integrate elements from severals other PC games which I liked. There'll be not much left, which will remind of MW at all. ;)

Will player be able to raise levels skills etc? I mean, to what degree will you keep, if you will at all, rpg elements?

Sorry if you haven't came up with that part yet, I'm just curious :P

Yeah, it is a bit early to speak abou this. I have numberless ideas for this TC, but even my day has only 24 hours and I'm working my ass off yet!!! ;) It will definately be an rpg, if I get some help it will be much more in depth than MW was, but don't want to make promises now, which I will not be able to fulfill. The player will be able to develope his skills, but survival in the submarine environment will be much dependend on proper equipement and having the right friends. The player will be much weaker than in MW and if he/ she doesn't act clever, he/ she will be dead pretty soon. There'll be no armor gears and weapons lying around in every backyard and payment will have to be earned hard. If you go out and kill NPCs to raid them, you'll possibly make yourself some enemies soon and without backup from your own faction, you'll get a lot of trouble. In this TC you'll have to think twice wether to kill or get involved in a fight, cause it will have consequences almost each time.

I assume you're adding guns and such to this? Are you going to have many kinds of ammo or handle reloading, or will they be mostly energy guns of some sort?

Any idea how many joinable factions will be included? (how many do you have in mind?)

You want the women in your TC to be breaded and deep fried? I really don't think they would appreciate that, though it would be pretty funny to see.

Let's stop that "woman" thing now plz, already getting a crispy headache!!! :P

@peachykeen: I'd like to have a hundred factions in this TC, but all depends on if I will be able to gather a team. What should I say now? I'm creating all the models now, which will take me some month for sure, then start exteriors and raise the city, which I'm pretty fast with, then NPCs, gameplay and detailing. A whole lot to do as you see, let's talk about all this stuff, once models are done. If you got any good ideas though feel free to drop them anytime!!! ;)

About weapons: Except some smaller and bigger knifes, I don't plan to have any medievil weapons in this TC. There'll be light saber, electriic stun guns, laser and plasma rifles, bolt throwers, similar to nailguns and aswell with poisonous arrows (poison will have to be extracted from glands of different creatures). Further there'll be "summonable" torpedo fishes, which seek and destroy  the enemy by exploding on contact and much more.... :)

Hmmm how weak are we talking about? Stats and major skills starting at 15 or less?

I have no concrete numbers in mind, but in this TC player won't have to be that strong in the beginning. I found it always annoying in MW that any Tom, dike and Harry you meet, was a master of martial arts and an expert sourcerer, I will change that completely. There'll be special mental abilities in TC like psi-powers and such, but it will definately be a privilege of a few people only. And you won't be able to access it so easily as in MW.

You know, having very poor stats would make it more interesting. Maybe take a slice at it similar to Zy-el. Making it that way could make it more interesting since your experience not only shows more, but your prouder of your successes. (But that almost might be a minor mod for hardcoe players too.) If the world has lower average stats, you can work a 'normal' playing area (85% of the world), and then a 'epic' area (Level 60+ 10%) And then maybe even higher than that. (Level 80+ 5%) But these are just random ideas being thrown out. I don't expect you to incorporate any of them.

In Zy-el (D2 mod) 1st level is very very weak, you actually can only hurt like 1-2 creatures and survive till you leveled several times. Even at 30th you'd have trouble in the world till you complete your first poster/artifact. Took me a week before i could get past 30th level.

Sounds good, but it's way too early now to make plans for that. First the base framework has to be done and then there'll be further additions to it. I want to have the introduction plugin released in a few month, so I have to cut things down a bit. In first release there'll only be some minor quests, which will function as a kind of tutorial to get the player known to the TCs gameplay, which will be different from MW's in many ways.

I decided to include some elements from good old point and click adventures like Zack McCracken and Maniac Mansion and stuff like that. This means, you'll be able to interact with the environment, in case you got the proper tools or items. You'll be able to break doors and walls, make visisble hidden doors, switches, combine items and so on. This way my cities will not just be dead scenery, but something like a playground, to explore and solve some riddles.

I'm amazed more modders don't do this. I started out early on making virtually everything an activator. (well, not literally - landscaping is still mostly static)

My personal favorites are paintings that can add things to your journal, or even drop items hidden behind them. However, I've also made most lamps controllable, etc. I definitely prefer a more interactive environment, so I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with.

No idea, why nobody does that??? Modders are always bettering the graphics and tweaking the stats, but only a very few try to improve gameplay. There is a lot that can be done and most things I have in mind would just require a simple script.

In MW I found it very tiring that you were always just running around for hours without having anything to interact with. There is no climbing in MW, which svcks a lot and levitation makes it even worse, cause it kills all fun in exploring the terrain. In dungeons or houses the only thing you could do was collecting as much crap as you were able to carry. In the Dwemer ruins, which would have had a huge potential to activate various machines, hidden doors, traps, crafting apparatures - nothing, just rusty metal and some left back robots, plain boring.

Daedric ruins, what a wasted potential!!! Awesome design, great atmosphere, but each time the same setting, a shrine, some jewels and miscs, you take it, an opponent appears, you kill him, take all the trash and get out to search the next ruin, boring.

I really loved MW nonetheless and played it several times, even without using any mod!!! But last time I made myself a new character, installed all the nice texture replacers, must have mods, made me a nice little companion and so on. After having played half an hour I got so bored yet, that I uninstalled the game immediately. It just doesn't work for me anymore, that's why I feel like doing a TC. I don't claim my TC will be better than MW, cause I'm lacking of a professional team at my side, but it will be different. Another, hopefully better ingame experience, with more timekilling things to do for the player.

This is SO utterly true! That's why I disable levitation in all my landmass mods.

@ChakaZG: That's not all I would like to rant about, but I'll serve it in digestable pieces best!!! :P

Here's the first character, which is based on a user's foto that was contributed to the TC, much thx!!! ;) I'm still experimenting what is the best method, yeah well, this is what I came up with today. :) Hair was made by Ren, I should mention that!!! ;)
