@Melchior: That's a good idea, either it could be done with ai travel or being animated. Maybe I'll also do some cutscenes for begin of yourney and arrival:

@Jeff: Thx man, I'll make some submarine hod rods for you next!!! ;)

@Mireneye: Microwave oven would be cool, can you make a hamster aswell?! :P

@MA: Yeah, they got a similar taxi in 5th element. There's some good inspiration in that movie, though I have to admit I watched it a gazillion times and never could make it til the end, lol!!! :P

@Evil2828 Icon: Yeah scrib ship, lol!!! :) I thought it would be a nice idea to have some ships' design influenced by submarine fauna, like crab, lobster, manta ray and such.

This TC is still in planning phase, I haven't yet began with the landscape. The cells I already made were just for testing and visualizing the concepts I had in mind. A friend of mine who also used a landscape that was produced by heightmap in TesAnwynn witnessed some severe performance loss on his PC, while having MGE active. He has a rather powerful PC, so maybe the grade of detail of such maps can become a problem. Gotta take care of that before I start with exteriors.

For the moment I will concentrate on producing models, cause I would love to have evrything custom made in this TC. Don't want people to have deja vu experiences when exploring the environment. Gotta find a good solution for armors and clothes though. Technically I could make new ones, but the amount of work might be too much for me alone, so I may have to use a few good retextures aswell.

I will PM you, as soon as I get into exterior building. In case people should get interested in this TC, I also might open up a small forum for this project lateron.

Ive told you a million times. Landmass created by TESAnnwyn doesn't do anything fancy with the land meshes, it simply tells it to raise certain points. It's no more detailed than any other cells in any landmasses. Basically, the detail of maps made with TESannwyn is EXACTLY THE SAME as any other landmass that has ever been made for Morrowind. IT CANT be any more detailed. there is a set amount of poly's used to make the land in each cell, it cant be raised, and it can't be lowered. The only reason i can see that Chainy was experiencing problems with his map was because MGE was set wrong, or just screwed up.

Oh, and cheers for the mention.

Wasn't referring to the poly count of lanscape, was talking bout the grade of details (heights). Just having talked with Chainy on Skype and issue is fixed, problem was caused by distant land settings. Btw, thanks for the landmass my friend!!! ;)

Hey, if you're looking for SF-themed models you could use then have a perusal through Sahardoom's http://www.tesnexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=3899 (there was also something called Mokbar by him but I can't find it...) and http://www.moddb.com/mods/ashes-of-apocalypse, look in the Comments section for download links. Pretty sure Sahardoom's stuff is free to use, not sure about AotA.

Fish-mafia-ninja??? Uh, well, guess I forgot about mafia and ninja, so you're a sea bass padawan now!!! :P But you'll become famous soon. First cutscene for submarine taxi travel will have feature your new alter ego!!! :)

@Dragon32: Thx for the link, but I won't use any big tileset ressources, just some clutter maybe. I want to create something completely new, even if it takes a bit longer. Nice stuff though!!! ;)

Lol, back on topic:

I'm working on the animation for the first taxi travel cutscene. I have run the first tests with the sea bass, still have to tweak textures, animate eyes and add a bit more body movement. In the final cutscene the sea bass will have to flee in order not to be driven over by the starting taxi. I'm not that familiar with that kinda animation yet, so everything might look a bit bumpy, but I'll try my best!!! ;)

What scares me most is the technical side of making the video. Not sure wether to render whole scene in Blender or record it ingame with fraps. I will have to join video and custom sound lateron too, which I have never done before. Could be made with windows movie make or else sounds could be scripted or keyframed to be synchron to the animation. In case someone has some experience with making videos and wants to assist, that would be really nice!!! :)

Here's first test of sea bass animation:

Yeah, you're right, in RL you rank Blender Knight, but...this is a TC (Total Conversion) and so I converted you to Padawan again!!!

Just started with cobbling together some "lore" for the TC. :P

Well, a short advice for the reader: Writing is kinda explicit, but I tried not to go too far. But as Morrowind had decapitated argonians, bonewalkers and Coprus people that feed on their own flesh, I guess I'm still below that range. At least nothing got censored sofar.

Spoiler

Deep_Sea (TC)

Deep in pale waters we dwell,
Stay forever in this abyss we shall

High above us on poisonous ground,
An unholy place that better be drowned

Cursed creatures that once left behind
Lingering for a cure they must not find

Chant of the Betrayers

Na’ jima City and Military Base, Sulfur-Fields of Gyrath

The third quarter of the submarine day had almost began, artificial daylights fading out with the usual “swisssh” sounds. Now it was dark down here in Na'jima, and quiet - damn quiet. No one here even noticed the monotone roaring noise of the hydro-oxygen converters anymore.

The paralysed body of a nameless amphibian youngster lay on the ground of the western scrap yard of the City. His once opaque-greenish skin was now as grey and cold as the stripped bare metal frame of the battle cruiser beside him. His limbs reached out, as if frozen in time. His head bobbed in a muddy puddle of putrid scum, continuously fed from a leaking drainage pipe.

The cycling light beam from a surveillance tower on the perimeter of the yard shone onto the corpse, revealing a broken hypodermic needle still sticking out of his almost collapsed vein. Only a few crimson drops were all that remained, but still enough to satisfy the hungry rat perched on his forearm. His cheap synthetic clothing was soaked wet and stained in filth. A tattered patch on the back of his jacket read "West Side Rebels," marking him as another one of those anarchistic gang members from a western district ghetto.

“What u got A’sil, eh?!”, a deep viscous voice murmured from somewhere out of the shadows.

Well, what do ya expect from a lousy no-named junky frog fart, idiot!!! C’mon let’s go somewhere else, I heard there is a party at the eastern canols…
