I've been wanting a cooperative experience (not multiplayer) in BGS games since Morrowind. BGS always grapples with the idea of that kind of experience early on in development, but decides against it. They love the single player experience and they want to focus their full attention on that scenario. ESO was the answer to those wanting coop, even though I didn't actually want an MMO (it certainly isn't the open world sandbox that BGS games are). I'm not sure if any BGS game will ever have coop, but I do believe there games would work well with the feature. The other issue is their studio is just too small to handle so many features.

i know it good to play single play it make you feel like you in the story to feel what BGS make for
but both like a dream game both buy it both go home and play with their self and work with Ai call it companion it...
there is still people plan to make cooperative mod because they love the game they feel what developer make for and want feel it the their friend. stalker, fallout 3,skyrim. and went fallout 4 come out there will be more people like to mod it
they a too small to handle it i agree
hope BGS support modder to make what they love to make but cant do

I couldn't completely understand the op but I don't see why co-op wouldn't be on the table for the next bgs game. As bethesda is changing so much already with FO4, along with making a companion mobile game.

Hell they already licensed TES out to be an MMO and now a Hearthstone clone. There are no sacred cows to bethesda at this point, might as well have co-op.

They've modeled multiplayer in early builds of all of their games so far, and each time they decide to scrap it since it shifts the single-player focus so much. But it's never been off the table for Bethesda... however, it has been off the table for a lot of fans. :P

If they were to add multiplayer (which they won't) I would definitely want them to do split-screen rather than online. Thats one thing that's really bothering me about games these days, it seems like split screen multiplayer is dying out, it's all about online. What ever happened to the concept of playing a game with someone who is actually in the same room?

Anyways its a moot-point since they aren't putting it in, we'd have heard about already if it was going to be in

The worse part about most games that are built around an online/MP engine is that they generally don't have any way to pause, even when you're playing SP (because, even though you're playing by yourself, it's still running the MP "engine", so.....)

Yeah, no. There's lots of MP competitive & cooperative games out there. No need to destroy/pollute another SP franchise when you can get that somewhere else. :stare:

You know what would be cool? If they let a second player run around as...your dog! It'd be awesome! As for two PC's running around, IMO I don't think it would work very well. For starters, the two of you would own everything that you came across so unless they made the AI crazy good (which I would be for) or they made the enemies all bullet sponges (which I don't care for), there would be no difficulty to the game what so ever.

Not in this franchise lol, some games don't lend themselves to multiplayer. There are plenty of other games out there that offer multiplayer / coop
