Out of all the hard hitters, I'm only buying Crysis 2. Too many games, too little time, so no point in buying games I won't play. Instead I can upgrade my computer to a Core Two Quad for Crysis 2 and get maximum destructability. Maybe Windows 7 and a GTX400 series card, but I probably can't afford that yet, so probably no maximum DX11. =(

Depends on how Crysis 2 looks. If it comes out as the consolish looking crap that they are showing on the C2TV, then Black Ops will kill it for sure.

Black Ops will murder this game. The Call of Duty franchise already has a pre made fanbase. All they have to do is announce a new title and they get a guaranteed 4 million copies sold. Crytek has no fanbase yet. They will have to work very hard for their bread and butter. It is simply better to delay the game and make it even better than the compete with Black Ops and instantly lose a potential 4 million copies sold. Bad Company 2 did this same strategy and the game sold very well, over 3 million copies in its first week.

The best Crytek title Far Cry only sold 3 million copies total. For Crytek to delay it and get over 3 million units out in a week would be like upgrading from a pontiac to a Ferrari. ^^ To release it with Black Ops will definitely kill a lot of sales.

Just Actually checked again at same retail for Crysis 2 Pre Order
Still No News.
Has anyone at all seen a posative release intention date ??, I mean yes we can pre order direct from EA, but still no date there?
