LR Delayed. Surprise Surprise.

Post » Thu Aug 11, 2011 9:10 am

Despite the fact that Bethesda Softworks' Jason Bergman recently reassured us that the final Fallout: New Vegas add-on, Lonesome Road, would be out this month, and called those who suspected otherwise "paranoid", he has now announced that the add-on has been delayed after all.

“We just wanted to drop in here and let you know that due to circumstances beyond our control, Lonesome Road won’t be out this month. This isn’t due to any major issue with the code or content, but there are lots of factors involved in releasing these things, and one of those is causing us to slip past our intended release date.

We don’t have an exact date yet, but we’re working to get it out as quickly as possible. We’ll be announcing the final date, along with a couple of other interesting FNV-related items in the near future."

Surprise, F_ing Surprise.

I'm perfectly fine waiting for DLC, as long as it actually comes out (which it will). :disguise:

Beyond their control being the key words, can't really blame them if it is. Whining and crying won't help any.

Do we really need another one of these threads? There is already one http://www.gamesas.com/index.php?/topic/1219551-lonesome-road-wont-be-released-this-month-thread-2/. Please use that one since it's "Official".

Can we get a lock on this?

Oh, and on topic: WHO CARES???? The DLC will be out. Go outside and do something.

Cry more. Delays happen, Jason took a chance assuring us it would be out this month and it backfired. Get over it.

My life has no purpose anymore. :cryvaultboy:

Not that it ever had.

Nah, in truth I couldn't give a damn. It's just one damn DLC, I don't understand why some guys take this so seriously.

Anyone else find it interesting that they released the achievements for Lonesome Road before they actually released any official screenshots or announced a release date?

This. New Vegas won't be getting any playtime when Deus Ex is about.

Man, some of you people act like it's the end of the world. Look outside, it's not. Find something to do for the next month. Find a new hobby, go out and buy a new game, take up knitting, i don't know, anything to pass the time.

My problem isn't with the delay... Its the "method" in which things are being handled.
However, I think Bergman should offer an apology for calling us "paranoid" when in fact, it wasn't paranoia, it was utterly justified speculation.

And to everybody who said "wah go cry" and other crap to that effect, you only make yourselves look stupid for making fun of somebody who's got a perfectly legitimate OPINION. Nice.

Besides, when other major titles have been a disappointment (I.E. Brink) then there really isn't much else for me to actually play or to look forward to for a few months, and the ONE thing I was looking forward to was this DLC. I walked through OWB in literally 7 hours, so i've been waiting patiently.

Its the only game i even have time for anymore anyway, so its not like i have grips of other stuff i'm playing, i actually work, and practice the guitar and care for a 2 story house, but when I DO have time to play, Fallout has always been first choice, ya know.

Besides, you shouldn't make a promise your customer-base if, you aren't positive you can follow through is basically what Im trying to say. Bad Business.
