Delaying L.R. is Pointless

Post » Fri Aug 12, 2011 4:51 am

They say the delay is necessary so the the dlc will be bug free but they delayed OWB and I still have to play through it over again because of a bug that stopped Cazadores from respawning which prevents me from getting Rank 3 of the DNAvenger perk. Nothing respawns actually and the Sink's vendor never refreshed it's inventory. It's had 352 caps since I sold it some items in the beginning. The Big Empty truly is empty now.

So yea, they might as well release Lonesome Rd this month and then patch the damn thing shortly after but then that probobly wont fix anything significant either. It's interesting how quick and successful they are to get rid of xp exploit glitches and changing things like raising the ap consumption of the Brush Gun but after 5 patches they still havent fixed the VATS bug, the BoS vendor bug, Stonewall, Ninja, and it goes on and on. Like I said before, I know the engine cant handle the game but then Obsidian and Bethesda should've used one that could.

The Delay is from marketing, not patching to my understanding. Oh, as soon as they release the patch the sink will probably be fixed.

Who said the LR the delay had anything to do with bugs? As I recall, no specific reason was given, except that it was beyond their control.

They said what now?

We just wanted to drop in here and let you know that due to circumstances beyond our control, Lonesome Road won’t be out this month. This isn’t due to any major issue with the code or content, but there are lots of factors involved in releasing these things, and one of those is causing us to slip past our intended release date.

Yea, they're worried about marketing more broken software to people.

Ive ben playing since the midnight release at Gamestop. Ive been very patient up to this point because I assumed patches would fix the bugs. Were at patch #5 now and an incalculable number of hours/days/weeks of having to play through it over and over again hoping that it does what I payed for, so when is it time to finally say adios to this game entirely?

Well, that's what I remember reading somewhere before OWB was released.

I'd say now's a good time for you to leave the series if it bothers you THAT much.

So, you've been patient this long and now you're going to let things bother you? I'm sorry - that just doesn't make any sense.

I would definitely agree that if you're freaking out now, then this would be the time to "say adios to the game entirely" as you put it.
