I recently began a new character to play parallel with my friend, and I would like to delete the one I was using permanently, is there any way I could do that? Just a reminder I am on XBOX ONE.

Man, I re-rolled myself and just went into my 'saved games' and delete all the old files. Mind you, this took awhile since the auto-save feature is on. Go to 'load' and just start deleting before you make a new character. That's the best I have.

When in the saved game menu, press Y to 'select character', select your old character, and press X to delete each save.

Does deleting all the saves completely remove the character from the character select screen, just my OCD acting up .

When you get all your saves deleted, from said character, then yea - your 'originally' character will be toast.

I am OCD about that kind of stuff to.
