Hey guys, I am having a problem with the quest Pieces of the Past (DA07). Basically, I accidentally killed Silus Vesuius (000240CE). This was a while ago so I cannot go back to a recent save. Through console commands I was able to resurrect Silus, reset, and restart the quest, however, this leaves the old failed quest in the log as well as the new restarted one. Is there any way I can remove the old failed quest from my log? I prefer not to use mods but if that's what needs to be done, it's no big deal. I do not, nor have I ever had a mod installed.

Try it with setstage.

SetStage

Typically, stage 200 is the end of a quest; so you'd type 'setstage 200' to mark a quest completed.

Thanks for the response, but this is the kind of thing I want to stay away from, since setting the stage to complete, which in this case is 100 or 150 (alternate endings), does not affect failed quests, I would have to reset the quest and start it again which creates another instance of the quest in my log. I want to delete the current failed instance of the quest in my log first before I do that.
