Deleting stuff in game

Post » Tue May 17, 2011 12:17 am

There is a big fat stinking tree dead center on the bridge that leads to Haldenshore in my game. No doubt added by one of Vurts tree mods (or vitaly) either way that's not the issue. Load order doesn't fix the issue.

Short of tracking down the offending tree in the CS and blowing up it up is there anything one can do whilst in game to clear the path? I used the "disable" command which removed the tree but the path is still blocked by something invisible. I vaguely remember there being a command, other than disable, but that may have been an Oblivion console command (set delete or something).

Anyhow. Is there a fix? Or do I need to get more intimate with the CS?

Disable first, then without clicking on anything else, setdelete 1. That ought to do it.

After you disable the object in-game via the console, try leaving the cell and returning - collision should then be removed. That also applies when you re-enable an object in-game via the console - collision won't activate until the cell in which the object exists is reloaded.

IIRC it was one of Vality's Bitter Coast trees.
You may be able to update collision before cellchange moving the object a liittle, for instance using a
move z -1000
command right after disable from the game console.

I suggest also using the http://tamriel-rebuilt.org/forum/viewtopic.php?t=21126 feature, so you can easily record object coordinates and eventually find the object you want to delete in the Construction Set.

Thanks abot. Nice trick. I just ended up using the x, y, z coordinates and moved it.
