This is typical Bethesda implementation. My only disappointment is the huge delay in shipping the creation kit so modders like myself can implement these simple features. A whistle is a little bit too cliche but some kind of battle horn you blow in that calls your horse would be sweet. Also a simple quest in the misc quests section that shows a quest marker to your horse would be nice that way you can always find your horse.

Would be cool if that came with a glitch, where doing so would call a PACK OF ANGRY ANCIENT DIRE GRIZZLY BEARS, instead!

You know what? Stuff happens. People get unlucky.

Having a saber cat chase your horse away is something I could imagine happening if Skyrim was 'real life'. It seems like a very possible situation.

Frustrating? Perhaps. But realistic.

Why do people have to even make a point about realism? It's a game and there's no reason why we can't have the ability to either call our call to us, or at least see it on the map. Fair enough a Sabre cat would scare a horse away, but this game isn't entirely realistic anyway, so I'd rather see my horse do a Hogan Leg drop on Sabre Cat, then we both call it a day and ride off into the sunset.

Ya, I had a saber tooth cat chase my horse in real life and after a minute or two I just whistle and he comes back.

It sounds to me like you just want a cheat code for infinite money so you don't need to make decisions. Having a weight restriction forces you to make decisions, do I want to walk my way back to town for this junk or drop it? If you're horse is right there maybe walking a bit is OK, if your horse runs off maybe dropping this junk isn't a bad idea.

Seriously, what's up with you? I want a money cheat do I? This is a thread based purely on convenience. Carrying loot is legit and having a horse to get me back to town is also legit. I'm simpyl asking why there's no markers or ability to call your horse. Seems to always be people who like to disagree and diss others in these forums.

The horse riding has always been horrible in ES. We complained about it in Oblivion, so what did Beth do- they made it even worse.

Walking seems the only viable option until the modders fix the alpha version that we all bought.

Ok, I'm guessing my horse died, because I get back to Whiterun stables and there's a new horse for sale.
