If your going to play the multiplayer so much
anyway and there has already been a multiplayer beta
why do we need the crysis 2 demo to be multiplayer?

Perhaps a MP Beta in mid February and then a SP demo a week before release :)

They need a demo like they did one for Crysis. That way i can see exactly how well it will run on my pc before I buy it.

That's one of the reasons, why this thread was made. Thanks for reminding.

Crytek, must be, way past that - by now. But if were patient... who knows :)

EA used to be pretty good at releasing demos. I wouldn't mind getting a taste of this first hand before I buy. Either way, this is first day for me

Yet, recent issues, seem to impede on the existence of a demo....

Although I would like it now, I understand pulling a demo can be pretty tough because they gotta test it first right! So I'm thinking some time mid February, give us a chance to benchmark our system and foresee any changes we need to make. As for consoles....I don't really care, no offense. They'll probably get theirs but this game is technically a PC game ported to consoles so if they can come out with demos for all 3 than everyone will be happy. And seeing as though EA needs a good shooter that would probably help them with sales.

A demo to test requirements doesn't concern me as much as actually getting the chance to get a feel for the game-play. I'm upgrading my PC anyway so I don't need a demo when they will just release system specs.

If there is a demo show off game-play features, hell it would be nice to have a prequel single player mission set before the first level, it would give everyone a reason to get the demo.

This is very valid and should be added to the list of reasons, why a demo/beta could be useful to this point. Thanks Ginsu, and Welcome to My Crysis.com :)

Wow....Did anyone else get a chill while watching? This game is going to force every other studio to step there "game" up tremendously!! The potential for this game is astounding!!! There is no Halo, or COD that can match up with this.Rarly do we come across such a game thats leaps and bounds ahead of the compeition...The only downside I see is it not reaching everyone/marketing properly. Other than that, PEOPLE I THINK WE ARE WITNESS TO THE GREATEST GAME EVER MADE!!!

This was just a statement of what Crysis 2 can do to people
... what could we do if we had experienced it, first-hand.

If you read the last few posts, you'll see a lot of pro's and some slight con's.
But, it's up to you.

1st off, a console demo usually costs a bit of money
im up for an Sp demo..tas all..

also found this::
( Crysis 2 publisher EA was recently the subject of much controversy for plans to release premium demos “for $10 or $15” before a game’s final release.)

! if its true, it better be available on local stores, or retail; downloading is one problem, paying online is another. 1f crytek is reading this, im willing to pay for the demo, if its readily available in my hands !!! tnx in advance. :D

The demo is going to cost some cash? When did that happen?
