I had a problem with the third question. Having played Morrowind and then Oblivion, but NOT having played Daggerfall (yet) or the even older games, none of the entries really fit, yet you can't complete the poll without filling out all three answers.

I was impressed with Morrowind after an initial "learning curve" issue. When I got Oblivion, the graphics were plainly more detailed, and I was quickly "hooked" on the game for about a week or so, until the whole "scaling" issue, feeling of a forced pace to the MQ, devaluation of the character compared to the player, and general lack of anything "meaningful" to do outside of the MQ had me wondering "what's wrong". After completing the MQ more out of a sense of "I need to finish this stupid thing" than acutal enjoyment, I went back to playing MW. To me, Oblivion was an excellent "FPS/rpg-lite", but not a great RPG.

This pretty much sums up my experience with TES games, except that I never got around to finish the Main Quest in Oblivion, and not going back to Morrowind. I did, however, download a lot of usermade mods, and eventually released a few.

The third question's a bit biased against xbox and ps3 owners. I started on mW then got OB.

I started with Morrowind and was blown away.

Then I played Oblivion - and while I enjoyed it, I think Morrowind was the better game, the armor was more to my liking. I loved the outlandish feel to everything.

However, having said that, what really bugged me about both games is that you didn't have much of a choice, you ended up being good no matter what, I would have preffered 2 to 3 endings depending on your choices.

Also if Bethesda could just buy the Mount & Blade combat system and include that I would be very very happy.

I started off with morrowind when I friend of mine let me borrow his and was immeadiatly hooked. Bought oblivion when it came out liked certain things about it over MW also liked certain things about MW over OB, overall hard to say which I like better. Haven't played Arena or DF yet hopefully someday soon.

Morrowind was my first, but it is not my favorite. I then played Oblivion when it came out. Now, I'm most of the way through Arena.

Most stupid poll ever.

It wasnt possible to select "I didnt played the whole series, only the newer games"

WTF am I supposed to select if I first played Morrowind when it came out, then Oblivion when it came out, and never any of the others ??? (and not planning to either)

I started with Daggerfall and have played Morrowind and Oblivion. Morrowind is by far my favourite game of the three, although Daggerfall is the broadest and possibly the best of the three. Shame it was so buggy.

I started out playing Oblivion and was amazed by it. It was everything I ever wanted in a game, and it is still my favorite. I have only played Oblivion, as Daggerfall won't work for me and, I tried Morrowind, but I just can't get attached to the game like I could Oblivion. Oblivion is the only Elder Scrolls game on my preferred game station series.

Played Daggerfall first, loved it.
Played Morrowind second, loved it better. It's my favorite of the unmodded games.
Played Oblivion third, hated it. Modded, it's better than Morrowind though.

Started with Morrowind, loved it, declared it as best game ever until Oblivion came out which overtook the King Crown of best game ever created. Never really played the old ones (too primitive now, since I missed them when they were still somewhat fresh).

I too started with Morrowind, then moved to Oblivion, and then Daggerfall. I attempted Arena at some point between Oblivion and Daggerfall but never really got into it.

And yes, Morrowind is still my favorite.

I played Arena first back in high school, though I never learned the name of it till much latter. I found it to be fun, but before I could really play it it was deleted by a teacher.

Than I got Oblivion right when it was released (still have my original copy). It missed a lot of really good opportunities and it was almost insulting with the amount of hand holding it does, but still its one of the best games to released in recent memory (hey, its better than lolfable at least... both games).

I found out Oblivion was part of a continuing series and got Morrowind on the x-box (give me a break, I didn't have a PC back then) and hated it... got my money back.

Downloaded Arena from gamesas and found out it was the game from school. Its really dated, but it brings back memories. The opening dungeon is something of a pain though.

Found Morrowind GotY edition for PC at a garage sale, broke down and bought it. Have to say its way better on PC.

Downloaded Daggerfall from gamesas. Has a lot of customation, for expansive. But overall not worth the hype because of its repetitiveness and frustrating game play.

I used to play Morrowind when I went over to my friend's house. From the first time I played I liked it. Then I decided to download Arena (since Bethesda had already released the free version at the time). Some time after that I bought Oblivion(unfortunately the disc broke), then I got Morrowind. However Oblivion is still my favorite game even though I have more gameplay time on Morrowind.

First was Daggerfall. Out-of the Box it beats MW/OB in all fields except sound & graphics (far superior gameplay, char creation, char development, worldsize etc); immense enought to still favour it. Modded to kingdom come Oblivion is my fav.

Started with Daggerfall.
My favourite is Oblivion, but I look forward to a new chapter with improved engine, tweaked gameplay, a good plot (not that the previous chapters hadn't one).

Started with Morrowind in 2002. Loved the hell out of Daggerfall. Oblivion was O.K. Although I uninstall Oblivion probably 3 times a year, I have never uninstalled Morrowind.

Couldn't get Arena to work right, so I figure that's for the best.

I started with Morrowind. Had never heard of the series. I was at a gamestop, had $30, and wanted to pick a game that looked interesting based solely on the box. Ended up getting morrowind, and was quite pleased with that choice. i still remember the first time I played. It was magical. After a good while of that, some info was released in Oblivion, and so I was super-hyped for that forever. Spent hundreds on a computer that could play it. Anyway, my love for the TES series fully set in then, and I started exploring my other options, though I never played redguard, and really disliked battlespire. I never got out of the first dungeon in Arena, though i did play Daggerfall quite extensively.

So, the order I played them in: Morrowind (xbox) > Morrowind (PC) > Oblivion (PC) > Arena > Battlespire > Daggerfall > Oblivion (xbox)
I'm all mixed up.

I started with Morrowind, loved it. I played forever until I got Oblivion, which I loved even more. Morrowind was amazing, but Oblivion had much better graphics and audio + Morrowind started to give me headaches from looking at it too long.

I first started with Oblivion on Xbox 360 not knowing any of the games that came before it and thought it was incredible. My friend had an Xbox and after hearing about my Oblivion experiences he bought Morrowind. I remember being pissed off at it first, but I would constantly go over to his house to play Morrowind and pulled bunch of all-nighters. After I got a decent PC I tried Arena and the free Daggerfall demo and loved them both and was pissed that it was almost impossible to find a copy of Daggerfall. Soon I wanted to play Morrowind again and bought it for PC to try out mods and I was hooked again. After trying Morrowind mods I wanted to try Oblivion mods and bought it for PC. When Daggerfall came out as freeware I played it again and was hooked. I've never tried Battlespire or Redguard.

I would say Daggerfall is my favorite right now because of its sheer size, character customization, and the main quest. Then it would be Oblivion because I played it so much, then Morrowind, and then Arena.
