Demons

I recall reading somewhere that some uneducated men incorrectly refer to Daedra as demons. However, for this to be incorrect, there would need to be some sort of real demon to be contrasted with the Daedra to show that they are not the same (or else demon could just be a synonym for Daedra). The only things ever referred to as demons are the Kamal, known also as Snow Demons. There is no real description of the Kamal's physical appearance other than this. Are they a magical sort of creature, like an Imp, or some sort of extraplanar beings? Or their description as demons could just be an insult by the Tang Mo referring to their enemies. Being referred to as snow demons seems to me like saying there are non-snow demons. Could this refer to Daedra, or perhaps only evil Daedra? Or maybe even some other sort of being, that I don't know of?

The Daedra are not demons because they are not motivated solely by malice, as run-of-the-mill demons would be. So its mostly just semantics. That being said, there is probably some creature out there that fully deserves the name.

If you call a coyote a chubacabra, you're just wrong. If I called asian-americans Kue-Jin, I'd be wrong. If I called subatomic particles "quintessences of the vortessence", you'd probably want to slap me. Similarly, when people in Tamriel create a stupid name and tack on some misunderstandings and ignorance to describe what are really Daedra, they're wrong.

demon and devil are only names to attach something to in order to denote that thing is a giant pain in the ass and scary.

As such, the kamal are not demons or daedra, just a giant mean pain in the ass to their enemies. Same with the daedra. It's like calling a person a demon or the devil. They're not actually a demon or a devil, but they're quite malevolent to those who are not on their side, or a giant dike.

Another example would be the [censored] Imperium and the sickening smurfs called the Ultramarines calling us members of the Alpha Legion to be nothing more than demons, when we know the truth they cannot accept!

Ah yes, the Ultramarines:

"We're blue, We're boring, We're UNREMARKABLE!"

Watching the Emperor rot is more interesting than the ultramarines.
