Deployment Areas?!

Post » Wed Feb 02, 2011 12:43 am

What i understand from "Deployment Area" would be the main base where everyone spawns and i think its a good thing they did this so that i dont have someone spawning right around an annoying corner and it would make sense in it all. It's also good that there are INDESTRUCTIBLE turrets! What do you think?

I do indeed love the turret idea, and the deployment areas. But I would also like a universal ability that allows you to choose your next respawn point, like the tactical insertion from CoD.

The deployment areas are a good for several reasons.
First of all it allows medics revive to be more valuable. Not much benefit if you respawn on the frontlines or on top of teammates.
Second having all of the dead members on your team spawn in the same place at the same time will make it easier to regroup after dying, and will hopefully limit the amount of people that charge in solo.
Third the turrets will keep away pesky spawn campers
Probably some other benefits but Im too tired to think of them

I am really glad they have deployment areas. The turrets to keep away spawn killers is great and I think it does add worth to the medic class.

Oh yeah definately a good idea. Exactly what Dark_Star said. It's good for regrouping, eliminating spawn camping, makes medics more valuable..hell you can read his post. =P I'm pretty happy with SD for that..

I actually called this a while back. I can't believe was actually right about them using the same spawn method as Blacklight:Tango Down. Mind [censored] Well I guess not really since I only mentioned the benefits of B:TD's spawn system...

This is what you call a no brainer.

And the poll proves it.

I can see a lot of spawn trapping occuring unless there are multiple ways to get out of the redeployment areas

From what I have seen there is. Seriously your team would need to be bad to get spawn trapped.
