I'm depressed :(

Post » Mon Dec 12, 2011 11:00 pm

My beloved horse, Bessie, just recently died on the road to Dawnstar. I was exiting a fort where I was to kill Silver Hand members when I found poor Bessie's body right outside the fort, where I left her. With no older saves, she was truly gone forever. I found 2 orcish arrows in her body, which came from a Silver Hand archer on the walls, and I swear revenge on all of them now. It was a very heart-wrenching moment, I stood silently over her while the beautiful music of Skyrim played and the snow lightly fell upon the land. She always liked to swim along rivers when travelling, so I dragged her over to the river where she will rest in an eternal peaceful slumber. I then had to walk all the way home to Windhelm, which was tough without Bessie :sadvaultboy: :nope:

So there is my sad moment, have you guys ever experienced anything as depressing as Bessie's death? Please share.

-Enhanced with Imagination-

*Walking out of Windhelm*

Guard: DRAGOOON!

It was a struggle being on a riverside next to a walled fortress of a town to try and take the svcker out. It switched between harassing the docks, harassing the poor manatees, and harassing the farmers.

I decided to move across the river and defend the most vulnerable farm people, and keep rooted in place and let the big one come to me. It eventually did, and I slowled hacked away and killed it- but not untill it killed a poor innocent farmer woman. =(

I felt bad that I had failed to kill the beast before it took a life.

The first time a horse died, I thought it was flying for a second, and I was like, "Awesome! Flying horse glitch! Aww...wait..."

It's very said when my stolen horses walk off down the road without me. :(

My poor horse got killed as we were riding accidentally into a giant camp in the panick I unsaddled. A giant then happy Gilmored it. As I was exacting my revenge between 3 mammoths 2 giants 2 dragons decide they want in on it. Pretty epic enjoyed every minute of that chaos

When my horse, my dog and my follower all died within seconds of eachother because that freakin' dragon refused to divert his attention towards me no matter how much I hacked at him. By the time I'd finished him off, they were all lying limp on the ground. :( I almost wish I'd avoided absorbing his soul, as it was the essence of a beast that had just slaughtered all my companions in cold blood. I 'buried' them all in the jagged crevices of the mountain nearby and now entirely avoid traveling around that area.

I just came across a young deer stroking it's head on a dead advlt deer. I inferred that it's parent died. It was pretty sad.

When my first horse, Ally, died. She fought valiantly against a dragon, but ultimately, she lost in the end. I found her corpse floating in a small pond outside the cave I had just cleared. It was a sad moment.

Also, I found a Giant standing near the geyser-area of Skyrim at night. A Mammoth was laying dead in the water in front of him. The Giant stared down at his fallen companion silently. I walked up next to him and regarded the Mammoth to pay my respects with a moment of silence. The Giant paid me no mind and made no attempt to threaten me or attack me, he merely stared down at the Mammoth. I left him in peace.

There are also a dozen other general examples of scripted events and areas that are just plain sad. Skyrim is a sad place.

Knowing that if I add a perk I might want to change my mind in a few seconds and not be able to so I play a game without perks.

Any time a merchant NPC dies from typical dragon.

My dog died, ages ago. So I reloaded and said to him "go away and don't die following me".

I don't know if any of you have done the Frostflow lighthouse. I will not spoil it but it is the most depressing quest I have come across so far. Read the journals, there are many. I actually got a little choked up doing it, it is very sad. If you want to be sad for about twenty minutes, it is located on the northern shore, kind of north east of dawnstar on the coast.

I Lost my first horse (Frost) which i stole from a group of silver hand members. She helped me take down a shadow mage, a big ass bear some wolves and TWO DRAGONS!!!! Sadly however right before I slayed the second dragon, she died. We were somewhere in the snowy peaks so I think she's where she wants to be (in the snow). I'll never forget Frost. A good horse, companion and warrior she was.

I just did that one yesterday, I didn't find it overly depressing. The only thing depressing about that quest was the lack of a good reward, all I got were some soul gems and spell tomes. I guess the part at the end at the top of the lighthouse was kinda sad though

When I killed Sahloknir (spelling?). Just listening to the epic dialogue between two Dragons and now one is dead soul eaten and forever removed from the world making it a much emptier place.
