[REQ] Depth of Field

Post » Tue Mar 02, 2010 5:11 am

Can someone pls create this depth of field mod for fallout new vegas

http://www.fallout3nexus.com/downloads/file.php?id=7132

I like the settings he uses for Insane+Close DoF/Strong+Close DoF/Medium+Close DoF/Subtile+Close DoF . Would really appreciate it if someone can creat a DoF mod using the same settings in this fallout3 Dof mod (or maybe modify it to be compatible with FalloutNV, if you dont need permission from the creator), I just cant play without it. Already tried some DoF mods for FalloutNV but they werent as good as this one. Ive tried loading it up with FalloutNV but nope, it crashes on startup, was worth a shot tho.

i use this, its not dynamic DoF though but you have 3 options and the motion blur is good, you can change settings in-game which is nice too

or you can try this, which i have yet to do. it has close blur and I have to say the screenshots look nice.

(i didnt try it because it uses the d3d9.dll and i use the same dll but the performance one)

Thx for the help guys. Sadly ive already tried those ones and their just not as good cause they use Far DoF, i want my DoF very close, makes everything look "dreamy" in close range.
The ENBSeries one really looks nice , ive tried it , but like you i coudnt use it because i too am using the dll performance fix, damn.

Ive sent the creator a message asking if he can update it for FalloutNV, but then i saw that he hasnt logged on since 2009 =[.

My best hope now is for someone to create something like it, cant modify it cause need permission.

I just went and tried the ENBseries one. I was disappointed at how nice it looks, looks like a messed up Anti Aliasing to me. And the SSAO is total crap. Lastly my fps went down to like 20. Maybe its the performance fix but yea it doesnt work for us.
I'd love a close DoF too, something like in CoD MW, ENBSeries just doesnt cut it for me.

Thanks for the link but sadly people using the performance fix d3d9.dll cannot use any ENBSeries effects. Because in order for that ENB series effects to work , the user would have to replace his performance fix (D3d9.dl) with the one ENBSeries generates. So if i used the ENB Series mod i woudnt be able to get nice performance so its pointless for alot of people =[.

^ That really svcks man because Enhanced Shaders HD is one of the most amazing things ever.

Makes the game actually look like it was made on a 2010 engine.. sort of :P

More like slathering Vasoline on a camera lens imo. Everything's blurry, and it requires AA to be off to work, which means JAGGIES! JAGGIES EVERYWHERE! D:

Its not for everyone. But i like the config, all the Bloom/Dof/Blur/ etc, gives a kinda "dreamy" effect which i like in games. Also the lack of AA is fine, i game on 1920x1200 so theres minimum jags. Its just too bad we need the dll fix to get nice performance, cause i really would like to use the ENB series effects.
