Descent 2 and 3 videos

Post » Thu May 07, 2009 10:24 am

I have recorded all of the levels from Descent 2 and Descent 3 and I have posted them on youtube. It's kindof a walkthrough, but is definately a spoiler if you haven't played through everything (suprisingly, some of us have not). All of it is done on hotshot.
I have not done D1 because someone else was, I repeat, WAS doing them. (His videos have no sound and his skill is a bit lacking) I'll see what he is up to and I might continue where he left off.

Watch them if you want, don't watch them if you don't want.

I'd be supprised if you DO watch all of them! :o (get popcorn ;) )

Yes the D3 one IS MODDED! Big deal! When you've been playing the game for 10 years, you tend to get creative. If you are going to fight a war, do it efficiently, unremittingly, or don't do it at all--I'm not into ethics, I'm into efficiency.--Benjamin St. John "Descent" by Peter Telep

Hey, how did you record your videos? did you record it in D2/3 and convert the demo, or did you just record it with some other software? "When you learn to control your emotions and tame them, no matter what situation you're in, you will then truly become king."-Sonny, speaking to a young boy

Last level was a smash! I added in the exit sequence since it just took me straight to the boring debriefing. If you are going to fight a war, do it efficiently, unremittingly, or don't do it at all--I'm not into ethics, I'm into efficiency.--Benjamin St. John "Descent" by Peter Telep

Looks like lots of work, nice videos though, checked out some of them, level 16 had the callisto tower(D1 lvl 12) music, really liked that, since I'm a big fan of D1, you've actually inspired me to make a similiar set of videos, but about D1, so far I have all the demos of my hotshot playthrough.

I'm working on D1 as well. I'm up to Lv 4, but I have 5,6, and 7 sitting in my hard drive waiting to be made into a video. If you are going to fight a war, do it efficiently, unremittingly, or don't do it at all--I'm not into ethics, I'm into efficiency.--Benjamin St. John "Descent" by Peter Telep

Hey Cypher, not too long ago I finished watching your D3 walkthrough. Sweet skills dude.

And yeah, I'm still working on finishing D2. I've lost the game discs so many times it's not even funny.

Don't know why I never noticed this question. I record directly using FRAPS.

Thanks! And have you tried DXX-Rebirth or D2X-XL? Neither of them require disks. If you are going to fight a war, do it efficiently, unremittingly, or don't do it at all--I'm not into ethics, I'm into efficiency.--Benjamin St. John "Descent" by Peter Telep
