Descent into Darkness...(RP) (Rough Draft & Sign up)

Post » Tue Mar 02, 2010 9:00 pm

Okay guys, I have pondered this idea, and have told no one about it, except 1 person, so, it should be a new idea. Here is the rough draft, and a sign up thread, although, you will be able to join at anytime during the RP. I have thought of this today. I am posting up a rough draft, to see if you guys are interested. The RP has factions, but is not a war RP, although you may send 1000 men into a place if you are in a certain situation. As far as I know, there has been no RP idea similar to this in any way, shape, or form. If you say otherwise, this thread is not for discussion on that. Thank you very much. This isn't the final draft, and the final draft is pretty far away.

Descent into Darkness...

And if no heir shall wear the amulet of kings...then the Empire shall descend into darkness...

After the Oblivion Crises, Tamriel was left in destruction. Several cities had been destroyed, the god Vivec taken by the daedra, the hero of Morrowind lost in Akavir, and the Champion of Cyrodil gone looking for him.

Ocato was emotionally stressed, forced into power, into power of a crumbling Empire. Soon enough, he was assassinated, and with no Elder Council leader, and no trace of any Dragon Blood, the Empire was left to crumble. Soon, things seemed as if they were to change...

An election was held, the remaining council now doing their best to turn the Empire into a republic. A man called Kain, a mysterious Imperial, with great social and persuasive skills, came to power, with support of many people, more than 60% of the population, far more than any of the other electives available.

The Empire then, was forced into a hard economic situation. Corpus broke out in Vvardenfell, isolating the island. The boycott of Summerset continued, and soon enough, people realized that Kain wasn't all he had said himself to be...

It was too late. Kain had organized Ocato's death, along with, later, most of the Elder Council, the part that didn't support him. He had put strange men into power, at Count, Duke, and King positions all throughout Tamriel. The Empire was crumbling. People were getting abducted, especially children. Many laws were put in place, in which, one could only have 1 child, and all others would be sent to the Duke of your country.

Not many had seen this "Kain," and many were fearful of him. It was soon discovered, that the Vampire clans had become united, and that most of the real happenings of the government were hidden behind a closed curtain, not yet unveiled. Soon, it was discovered, and rebellion came, from many places.

Kain had united the vampire clans all along, and what he did with the abducted children....was just sick. As most scholars know, vampires do not age after they are turned. They had taken the children, turned them to vampires, and released them among society.

The new strain of the disease was worse than ever. The children could not control themselves, and they spread a disease, seeming almost different. The new strain was uncontrollable. All who were bitten could not control themselves, much like rabies. The vampires soon began turning whole cities, feeding ruthlessly on anyone.

Other kinds were born, called half bloods. Vampires began capturing women, and rapping them, causing them to bear children that were half vampire, half human. Those people all had characteristics of Vampire and human, and reproducing, forming their own societies.

The members of the Elder Council, now in reduced number sized, were all vampires. Years went by, many rebellions forming across the country. No one has heard of the Hero of Morrowind, or Champion of Cyrodil, and Tamriel is in its darkest days. Lord Kain still rules Tamriel, at least on paper. Most human society is destroyed, although many actually prevailed.

It is now 800 years after the crises. Wild vampire beings roam the lands of Cyrodil, western Morrowind, Skyrim, and eastern High Rock. The disease has not turned or killed everyone, and even some races were immune to the disease, and survived.

The Khajiit people hold a republic in Elyswer, composed of the tribes, constantly fighting off the Vampires. Meanwhile, the Argonians have done the same thing, keeping Black Marsh from Kain, and his evil. They have managed to take Leyawin for their republic, and are using it as a military outpost. The Imga of Valenwood have now driven out the Vampires, and established their own confederation. Summerset isle is still inhabited by the elves, and has not allowed the disease to grab a hold on the island, although, they have put down vampire rebellions before. In Hammerfell, the Red Guards had a good resistance to the disease, and now holds a council among the tribes. Humans have taken refuge there, and the republic is attempting to build a wall, protecting itself from the outside. Janus Hassildor (SP?) has managed to form a rebellion, composed of Vampires who do not support Kain, and do not approve of his actions. The Rebellion consist of Skingrad and Anvil, and is currently trying to grab hold of the rebuilt Kvatch. No one has yet heard of Vvardenfell, a corpus plague roaming there. Meanwhile, the half-bloods are settled in High Rock, each having about 30 kids every generation, as their strange bodies allow them to reproduce at every age.

Lord Kain still has vampire supporters who have good sense. The Imperial Guild status is unknown in the vampire inhabited areas, but has showed some production in the other territories. The Fighters guild helping fend off the vampires, while the Mages guild and Physjiic (SP?) order do their best to fend off any oppositional threat. The Dark Brotherhood and Thieves guild have not been heard of, although some evidence has been found that they are indeed still existing. The Morag Tong is known to have been destroyed, although it is said they are present in Black Marsh. There are rogue vampires and bands of rogue humans out in the "wild" territory. Now, many are on their quest to defeat Kain.

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now, you can start at any location you see fit. I would suggest starting together, so you guys can interact.

Remember, you may develop sub-plots, but don't ignore the main idea of the RP.

You have the options of being any type of being. You may be any of the mer, man, or beast races. You may also be a halfblood, or a loyalist or rebel vampire. The vampires are now invading your territory, in an effort to wipe out any possible threats. You may also be a guild member, or just a normal person. You may be a rogue vampire or human, by himself/herself, or with a band of people.

RULES

1. PM all sheets to me!
2. Follow the usual RP rules...
3. No character control without permission
4. No uberness
5. No killing other characters without their position, but, if your character is in a position to die, please accept his death, although I will not make you, unless you go jumping off a cliff or something...

7. Be respectful of other RPers.
8. You can have the number of characters that you can handle. You get to decide that.

This is just the Rough Draft, so some things may be changed. All of you may offer suggestions. I probably won't start it for a week or so.

Is Kain, himself a vampire? If he is, then he could not be outdoors making speeches and other stuff like that, greatly reducing his chances at Emporer.

Also, as a Republic, a Council (In this case, the Elder Council), is to advise and approve/disapprove of the Emporer/President/Leader's action.

However, yes, this looks interesting. However, I am already in many RP's, and don't have much time. Unfortunately, I cannot join.

I am going to edit the OP, and work on it.

Right now, it a whole bunch of crap put in your head. As for Kain being Emperor, he is a vampire, but he feeds a lot, reducing the effects. He has a great social skill, and I would compare him, is you want a person in foretold history.

He would be most like one of the end-of-the-world leaders in the prophecies of the religions, Christianity, and some of the others, along with the ancient Mayain (SP?) religion. I am not getting into religion here, I am just comparing him. He is an evil guy, who everyone adores, now some have discovered he is evil, throwing rebellions, but he has already destroyed many settlements. His little vampire rabies children are running around killing everybody, and crime roams in Tamriel.

This is the first draft, and I want it to be good. Vum, Walrus, you guys can join.

I am going to add a rule in, that the post must be decently long. This isn't going to be 1 liner brooklyn hood.

In other words, this isn't going to be noob hood. Not to offend anyone.

@EB, he put his own people in power, and many believed him.

What makes a half-breed different from other vampires?

And as far as the OP goes, it seems like much of what is said could be summarized easily.

I might be able to join, but I'd have to wait for one of the three to four RPs I'm in to finish.

I plan on describing them more in the next draft.

The half bloods carry their each own characteristics, some from vampires, but not all the vampire abilities. They are less effected by the sunlight as well.
